I was Blown away! I could not believe how enjoyable this movie was! Just Awesome! Believe me! I see many movies! This by far this summer and passed summer releases? Just? The best action, special effects, As far as story of comic style, incredibly well done! I don't usually see the same movie twice in a theater? But?? Anyone want to join me!!
Just a note? My heart goes out to the awful tragedy that took place in that theater to the victims and there families! Which I don't believe? Had a reflection on this movie in any way? Just a madman gone crazy in our society...

Christopher Nolan created a great ending for his Batman Trilogy. From start to finish the movie was gripping, without any real slow parts to bog it down. The acting and effects were great. The only real problem I had with the movie was that some of the dialogue was somewhat hard to understand, but it was readily apparent what was meant due to context in the movie.
Highly recommended!

Awesome movie...enough said about that by other reviewers.
Let me say first I have above-average hearing. This movie was dangerously loud, so loud it was painful. Coordination of music, explosions and other loud noises with dialogue was very poor such that conversations key to the story were lost to the viewer.
Recommendation: Wear earplugs or risk damaging your hearing. Perhaps this was a local theater problem, but I suspect not. Our culture has become obsessed with ACTION and EXTREME sound effects, it does so at the expense of auditory health and a good story that can be followed.

The Christian Bale Batman movies have definitely carved their own niche in the telling of the Batman story, exploring not just why, but also how Bruce Wayne became Batman, adding a tad more realism to the Batman gadgetry than had previously been done, and creating villains that have been, at times, frighteningly true to life. Christian Bale announced before this movie was released that he intends it to be his last Batman movie, and while I'd have preferred to have had a few more entries and to have seen what they might have done with some of the other classic Batman villains, if the series had to end, this movie has certainly given it a worthy ending. IMAX added an extra intensity to the action.

The only thing that was risen in this movie was my contempt for blockbusters that fail to meet expectations. On the positive side, Ann Hathaway captured the pure essence of the Catwoman with her relationship with the Batman. But other than a few memorable vehicle scenes and one nice plot twist this film flopped as the conclusion of a series that was in a serious tailspin since the first one. The fighting scenes were absurd and not exciting. Gotham City was clearly New York, which was distracting, and I felt that some CGI could've have given Gotham it's own feel. Bane's origin was told in Cliff's notes fashion and there was no adequate explanation given why he wanted Gotham to be destroyed. He was made out to be a one dimensional bad guy with a mask bent on evil destruction. At times his speech was not incoherent and sounded muffled, which was doubly hard to understand since you could not see his mouth moving when talking. Although the end tried to get the audience excited by hinting at a different direction the franchise could take, I was merely happy this 2 hour and 45 minute dud was finally over.

Went into this with limited expectations, third and final installment in this reboot, not expecting much. What a great summer flick! Definitely a popcorn movie, Anne Hathaway made a great Cat Woman, JGL as Robin was too much (in a good way), and Gary Oldman finally got some lines. Christian Bale suffered and struggled more than ever, and the scene with Michael Caine almost brought a tear to my eyes. Tom Hardy played an OK Bane, but liked him much better in Nemesis.
Must see, worth the bucks for IMAX. Heck, my much older sister saw it in IMAX too in Atlanta, and even she liked it!

After seven years, Christopher Nolan's epic Dark Knight trilogy reaches its end, and it was an end worth waiting for. Was this film as good as 'The Dark Knight'? Probably not. Was it a fitting end for this iteration of The Batman? Absolutely.
The acting is stellar, the story is large in scope (as are the exquisitely shot IMAX sequences), and even though this is a superhero film, there's something that helps it transcend that sometimes niche, fanboy genre: it's a great movie. Take away the persona of Batman and substitute someone trying desperately to make a difference, and you'd still have a film just as grand and just as enjoyable. Well, almost. It's still pretty awesome to see Batman on the big screen.
And for those of you doubting Anne Hathaway could bring something substantial to this third and final chapter, rest easy. This is as good a take on Catwoman as we're likely to see for quite some time.
Undoubtedly there will be a few flaws pointed out, and holes will be poked in it if they haven't been already, but if there was a better way for this series to end, damn if I know what it was. And check it out in IMAX. You'll be glad you did.

Rarely does the third installment of a trilogy deliver but Dark Knight Rises exceeds the prior two installments in every way--including the most important--the viewer--at least this viewer--became emotionally connected to both the story and the characters. This connects like blockbusters did when I was a kid--it was Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Jaws all wrapped into one! Not just action and fight scenes--but action and fight scenes emotionally charged and connected to characters we actually care about. That is the key--and today it is so very rare!! So rare I began to think Hollywood forgot how to make a movie like the Dark Knight Rises. I left the movie and walked out of the theater--moved, shaken, and in awe....in short...I felt like a kid again...thanks Dark Knight!! Thanks to Chris Nolan and cast and crew! Well Done!

Saw it in Imax - action sequences can be really loud and Bane can be a bit unintelligible at times, but it didn't distract from the story. This film runs long, but the story is paced well (I don't think anyone in the theater got up to pee!). Arguably the best in the trilogy.

the movie was good no argument there. But there were a lot of disparties in the scenes such as th background and location. Also it is not one of those movies you can just pick up and watch you definetly need thr knowledge of all the other previous movies to understand the movie

The action was incredible. Story line was very very good...leaves you knowing that there will be more coming. Has some good suprises. Seeing it at Imax is the only way to go. You will enjoy this one!

This was and outstanding end to a phenomenal trilogy. Christopher Nolan outdid himself again. Just when you thought it couldnt get better than the Dark Knight, along comes this. The way that he wraps up the story and leaves certain things untold is a tribute to the Batman legacy and mantle. It will be a very long time before someone touches this..... or will it? The story was very well told and complex yet simple to follow. Tom Hardy was outstanding as Bane and Christian Bale once again gives a great performance. The secret to this movie though is Michael Cane. Just like Aaron Ekhart did in The Dark Knight, Michael Cane's brilliant and moving portrayal of Alfred almost steals the show.
For those who know the story Christopher Nolan did an exceptional job of weaving in the critical components. Albeit sometimes Banes dialouge was hard to understand.... the action and fight sequences were historic to the comics. A masterpiece of a movie. An action based hero movie that tackles current events (terrorism) that wraps up the story to an epic conclusion.
Finally, A trilogy for our generation.

While it is not crucial to have seen the prior two movies starring Christian Bale, it would be good to go with a 14-year-old, who can fill in the gaps.
This is a very intense, graphically dark, culmination of the Christopher Nolan / Christian Bale trilogy. It is a movie that attempts to plumb the psyche of Bruce Wayne, and determine why he became the Batman, and why (in a desperate hour of Gotham's need) he returns, not once but twice.
The scenes at the Stock Exchange (in fact, the old J.P. Morgan HQ) are not plausible … trading is not done in that manner.
The continuing question amongst the audience (after the movie) was "Why didn't Batman attempt to pull Bane's mask off?" Also, while the opening sequence was dramatic, with great effects, if the CIA / Special Ops leader had just shot the unexpected baggage, the entire movie would not exist. It is an assumption upon which the entire story lies, and it is not plausible.
But, if one wants "plausible," don't go see movies involving superheroes!
Tremendous summer fun … sit back and enjoy it!!

Cons bane's mask makes him difficult to understand.

Action never stops, which can be good and bad. It's very intense throughout with almost no breaks. Some plot holes that you think about later but overall a great summer movie.
