My son absolutely loved this movie. He is obsessed with all video games, so this movie was right up his alley. He has a very short attention span (autism) and hardly ever sits through an entire movie without getting up to go walk around the lobby at least twice. He sat through this one without getting up once, I couldn't believe it. I also enjoyed the movie, it had enough laughs for the adults in the crowd. I recommend this one for all ages. You may have to hear " I'm gonna wreck it" for a few weeks around the house though.

I was delighted with this movie.Originally I went thinking my grandkids would like the movie and I would take a nap, I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself enjoying it. Sarah Silverman as Vanelope was on point. She mad the character come to life and Ralph was lovable and understandable as person who was hurt and confused.

Very entertaining. My 7 and 10 year old daughters really liked the movie. The characters were great. As an adult, I like seeing if the cartoon characters look like the actors who do their voices. In this movie they do. John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, and Jane Lynch all resemble their cartoon characters. It's kind of a neat thing to see in my opinion. Overall a great movie to go see with the family. I'd recommend it to friends.

I loved this movie. As a kid, I grew up with these video games, I went to actual video game arcades to play, and the movie brought back so many fun memories.
My kids, who only know ps3 and Xbox console gaming loved the movie as well. We had some fun conversations about some of the older games, q-bert, tekken, and tapper!
Overall a great movie!

We took our 10 & 7 year olds to see this movie.. We all really liked it. It had heart and humor, which are the two best qualities for a movie to have in my opinion.. Great story and great detail.. I went with a bunch of guy friends of mine, and they were a bit disappointed at how little time they spent on the retro game characters and how much time they spent on the girly type game.
I, being a woman, loved it regardless. It was very cute and had an important message to people who feel left out.
I would definitely recommend this movie. Appropriate for all ages :)

I took my 10 year old son to see this movie. He is an avid gamer, but he likes new and old games. His favorite game is probably Super Meat Boy, which is an update of a retro genre.
I spent a lot of time in arcades as a kid, and know a lot about arcade games. So did the people involved in this movie. It wasn't just a reference-fest like most Dreamworks movies tend to be, but it had many historically accurate bits of information. The movie was hilarious and touching (perhaps a bit to sugary, but most of it takes place in a game called Sugar Rush, so...), and the smart references to old arcade trivia were icing on the cake. Disney nailed this one, right down to having Buckner and Garcia record a song for Fix-It Felix Jr. along the lines of their old hit Pac-Man Fever. The Disney logo doing a level 255 Pac-Man crash was also pretty great.
My son and I both want to go see it again. That says something in a world of disposable kids movies like Hotel Transylvania.

My husband, our 8 year old and myself loved this movie. It has such a special message of how everyone deserves to be a friend. I think this movie has a particularly powerful message because video games have become so violent and it shows the characters as if they are playing a role and at the end of the day they all end up together. It also shows that people can be prejudices withe popularity issues, but resolves them very nicely. I really enjoyed this movie. The scenes in Sugar Rush were so beautiful. I highly recommend this movie.

It's hard to avoid spoilers so I'll say this much: Watching this movie, it was hard to not confuse it with a Pixar film. That's right -- this is by Disney Prime.
The cameos by various video game characters and elements are fun to watch for. The voice acting was really solid, and I was happy to see that they got some genuine voice actors (Jim Cummings, Debi Derryberry, etc) to accompany the Hollywood talent.
The fact this wasn't a standard-fare "lead character falls in love and gets the girl" story really sets it apart from other movies.
I recommend it for all ages despite the PG rating -- as long as you're okay with your kids seeing the occasional alien-bug getting shot by lasers. (There's no blood.)

My girls loved this movie! It kept them engaged and they were still raving about it the next day. The plot was pretty predictable, but its a kid's movie, it's supposed to be!

My husband is a huge arcade game fan, and he really wanted to see the movie. He loved it, and all the references entertained him. I'm not really a gamer, and I still thought the movie was great! Cute story, and all sorts of funny things that people who great up in the 80s/90s would enjoy

The overall movie was good, it had a great story line and a lot of the characters were memorable. Sara Silverman was great as the little girl and the guy who played fix it jr was pretty funny also. And you gotta love John c Reilly. All people of different age groups can relate to this movie because its got some of the older gamer characters like PAC man and even q Bert. If I had to pick one thing that's the movie didn't do well was the fact that the movie did get a little long and towards the end it kinda just drags on, but other then that a must see!
