After seeing this movie I wonder how "damn few" there are in this country who would do what they are willing to do for us. Just to qualify is a miracle in itself. To have that much heart and soul to lay down their life for us, makes me so proud of them and their families who sacrifice so much for the freedom folks take for granted everyday. This country needs to dispose of the ideas behind political correctness before it's too late. As long as there are tunnels under our borders and they are not guarded properly these brave men and women will continue to die. Wake up people and demand our President act.

Although not a SEAL, I am a veteran of the Vietnam era, and this was an awesome movie. I had many friends who died in their defense of America, and it moves me to recall the sacrifices made every day by those who continue to fill the shoes of the soldier, regardless of the branch of service. These brave men and women are the real heroes even beyond the silver screen.

As a movie it can't stand on it's own. Terrible acting, no plot but to kill and not to realistic as far as some of the military attitude displayed. Definitely comes across as a bit of propaganda(being so patriotic as the film is). But great action for sure!!! It shows MAYBE what might be going on in the war on terror. Man i hope not!!!

I loved this movie. I thought it was downright inspirational! I'm a 59 year old couch potato and after seeing this movie, I'm going to do a 1/2 marathon benefiting Wounded Warriors!! also, all the critic comments about the acting - I thought it was not that bad. This movie is not going to nominated for an award for acting, but it had a good story, developed the characters, and the audience (at least where I watched) felt a connection to the actors. Would definitely recommend it to others. Made me proud to be an American.

I liked the movie. I've heard a lot about the movie having bad acting. But its understandable because they aren't actors they are active navy seals or whatever line of work. I didn't even think the acting was too bad anyways it wasn't the greatest but it wasn't bad. I was expecting a lot from this movie and I'm not sure why but it was a small let down for me. The action was good. There is language and some disturbing scenes though but the action was cool and on the directors part (I think they did a good job) they had some cool shots. Overall a good movie and a little sad at the end there though.

The "professional" movie critics did not seem to care for this movie. What those critics seemed to over look is, these are men who make their living doing, while actors make their living pretending. These men did a great job with the acting and the story line is very good. This is a realistic look at what our people in Spec. Ops. do. While this is a fictional story, it is an example of how things unfold and how our men go about doing what they do.
Great movie, great acting, great story line. This movie gives one pride in the American forces.

While the movie was NOT full of surprises, it had great acting and all of the other key elements - human characters that you could identify with, the feeling of pride in being an American that has and develops people like these Navy SEALS, and the empathy with the characters... Real men showing actors how it is done. I think God that we still have a few men out there. From start to end this movie did not let me down. It makes you glad to be an American and sad that some hove to give up their lifes so we can be free. I am amazed to see some of these reviews saying the acting isn't as well as it could be and the action was only in the trailer. This is very wrong, because for being trained seals not even knowing how to act, they were just as good as the professional actors. The action was hardcore, and really delivered a great sense in what our heroes do everyday. See it now, best movie in a while, one of the best I've ever seen!

Act of Valor allows the viewer a harrowing glimpse into the world of the Seals. The Seals were not professional actors but that was fine and lent itself to the documentary feel of the movie. The professional actors were excellent in their roles. The photography was beautiful and the soundtrack was good. Left me in awe of their abilities and their courage!

Or do you want to see someone who lives that role in real life. This movie is about one thing. That being a warrior is a noble endeavor and no apologies should be made to anyone because of it. There is evil out there,and America needs rough men to stand in the breach to protect her.

So the dialogue and acting inbetween action scenes was bad. However, the action scenes were the best I have ever seen. The director should have stuck to the action events and just let them show us what is like to be a SEAL. It made me very proud of what our service men and women do to protect us. Beautiful photograph and great actions sequences.

The soldiers that partook in this film did a good job considering their not professional actors. The patriotic message was clear but the movie plot was a weak. Way below the Platoon, Full Metal Jacket and Saving Private Ryan quality and plot strengths. It just didn't flow very smoothly. It tried so hard to add the patriotic "Support our Troops" agenda that in a way it over took and degraded the plot and quality. They could of kept the message strong if not stronger if they would have reconsidered the way they set the film up.
