I don't usually go to see these simple-minded films but this time I wanted to see if this guy could play a man who is an actual man.
The answer is no.
He is stumbling, awkward and just plain bad. The audience laughed when he kissed Thandie Newton. I just felt like leaving.

I enjoyed this movie. I admit it was predictable, but that's ok. I go to movies for enjoyment, relaxation and escape, so I didn't mind that I knew what was coming. It could have been better developed, but the acting was better than in his previous movies. Thandie Newton really helped in this area. And the girl that played her daughter was absolutely adorable.

While I am a Tyler Perry fan and huge supporter, I was disappointed in this movie. The best parts of the movie are in the trailer and there aren't any real surprises. It didn't feel like most of the characters were developed enough and some just weren't believable. It was safe and predictable and I expected more.

I really enjoyed the movie. I can depend on Tyler for great family movies. And movie that give you something to really think about your life/lifestyle. My mother and I went to see the movie together. She had seen the previews and call me on the phone. To say she have great treat for my birthday. I was surprised, to hear her say we are going to the movie. She buy all of his movies/ plays to look at home. That's the only way she feels she can enjoy them. She can't miss any of his movies for the world.

Excellent "Feel Good" movie! Another great movie with Tyler Perry! I thought this would be more like the comedies he normally performs in, but it wasn't (not negative either way), just a pleasant surprise and a nice change to see him in a more serious role...I would buy this movie. Has a great message to give...A MUST SEE! :-)
