Everyone will love this for the spectacle but more me it's a 'watch once' film. Finale is ludicrously wrong, ignoring severe tragic ramifications that real life would be left with. Satisfying nod to who will star in future installments.

Storyline great. Character development, great. Loved the development of the possible Robin character. Only thing I would have wished was inproved was Bane's voice. It was so muffled and at times I missed his dialogue due to my inability to comprehend his words. Really took away from his character because he was so critical to the film.

This movie is an amazing ending to a series that had you sucked in since the opening moments of "Batman Begins". "The Dark Knight Rises" pulls no punches and is tremendously shot by Christopher Nolan. All the players in this film are in top form. Could not ask for a better film!! (Did not want to go into much detail...I hate spoilers.)

This movie was everything that i did not expect on how the dark knight should end but even though this ending was not what i expected, haveing the expectations taken away that was still a very good movie. There were only some parts that i could not clearly understand bane but most thoughout the movie i could uncderstand him. I saw this movie last night, i can also say my heart is still pumped from the end and how much action, it was just amazing. I can also understand why they added catwomen to this movie for the plot. I liked on how they stayed true to the commics in this movie in a way that they could, i would say what but that would just be a spoiler for anyone who reads this review and i dont even want to ruin it for even the curious people because knowing this movie, it is best to enjoy it without knowing what happens and it was worth it. the only worry i have about this movie is that there was no mension of the joker at all, i know they would not have him in this movie but they did not even say anything about maybe he was sentenced to death or what because i know the joker if he was alive he would have also did some damage if he was alive. I would love the explanation for the absence of the joker in the movie because i know there needs to be one

By far it was the best of the three in the "Dark Knight" series! The guy who played "Robin" will be great if kept for the next installment. Don't wait years between the movies though. Great stuff!

This didn't even look, feel, sound like a Batman movie. He makes an appearance towards the middle of the movie until the end, and it's a weak entrance. Not like the entrance our hero should have made. The story didn't do this superhero justice. Anne Hathaway was the most interesting character because she showed character! Everyone else looked bored, tired, depressed, including, and especially Bruce Wayne. The soundtrack was just noise in the background....what ever happened to creating a theme song for our heroes??? Most significantly, this movie is LONG! And unnecessarily so. They could have cut at least an hour off this movie and it would have made the movie more exciting as a result. Wait for this one to come to $1.00 Redbox.

i am a huge fan but this was terrible! I don't even know where to begin.... first big bummer is that Batman hardly comes out in the movie. you see him 15 min out of the hole movie if that! then the story line is awful. We saw the same story in Batman Begins so it kind of repeats itself and then you have to add an unrealistic approach. It also shows the same actors who are supposedly dead.
Then to make matters worse, the ending is terrible. it makes no sence where the characters are supposedly heading....
I was very mad and extreamly dissapointed that they managed to destroy such an awaited movie and character.
Please save your money and dont waist it watching this.

Batman has been my favorite super hero since the 80's Superfriends cartoon. So in 1989 when Tim Burton's Batman was release, I was obsessed. I know most people will not agree, but I think Batman Returns is just as good. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I was so completely worried about how Batman Begins was going to turn out. To my surprise, it was better than the '89 version I grew up loving so much. So years later we are graced with The Dark Knight. A beautiful art of work, are to beat right? The Dark Knight Rises does the imposable and ends up being better the The Dark Knight. I was not convinced the first time, but after seeing it again the next day, I realized how great this film really is. And Nolan ended this saga perfectly. Go see this movie, and then go see it again.

The musical score is very impressive and keeps the tension, however as with the previous movie the storyline takes a while and doesn't entertain long enough for the over 2 hour time sitting in your seat.
Its dissapointing that Batman' true character is often missed in these movies - while Superman is known as the "Man of Steel" - Batman is often forgotten as the "Worlds Greatest Detective" - A Sherlock Holmes who is often five steps ahead of his adversary (although you don't realize it at first) - and as a child tramatized by seeing his parents gunned down in front of him -(he never will be seen holding a gun) becomes so obsessed with fighting crime that he becomes an olympic class athelete - in Batman Begins you see a hint at the end when Bruce Wayne buys back his company without William Earle, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises knowing about it that Bruce is intelligent - but never do you see the "master detective" - perhaps the next director will discover that. (look for a stock shot of NY city with the World Trade Towers in the background)

TDKR is a fitting end to Christopher Nolan's and Christian Bale's Batman trilogy. It is not as gripping as The Dark Knight nor as tight a story; but what movie can ever top that? It is impossible.
If you are a fan of these Batman movies, this one will not disappoint. If you are comic book purist who can still enjoy a great movie, you will like this.
Personally, I loved it.

This was an exciting movie for my friends and I... The actors were very good, as they have been in both the newer batman movies. As with both the other movies, this one left me wanting more. Not that anything was left out, but a true movie maniac never wants a good movie to end... I really wish the Joker could have made an appearance, but to me the Joker wouldn't have been the same without Heath Ledger...

Overall a great movie with a great twist and a great ending. My only issue was that at some points it was hard to understand Bane. My biggest fear was that Anne Hathaway was going to be a detriment to the movie, but she actually was great as catwoman. I don't think it was as good as the Dark Knight, but it's hard to top perfection, and this certainly came close enough for me. Now let's just hope Cristopher Nolan can work the same magic with the Superman reboot.

I saw this movie in a brand new totally digital theater. This was one movie that I did not regret waiting until it is available via cable or internet access.

It was a bit long but did keep your interest. Not sure how many times Bruce can break his back trying to crawl out of that hole. A little predictable with the CatWoman and Robin thing?

It was BATMAN!! Fantasy! Entertaining!! It was GREAT!! I don't remember seeing any blood. Just good old Super Hero movie. Absolutely Loved Catwoman. Loved the twist with Baine.
And...At the end...GOOD does win or evil... I hope they don't stop with this one... I am anxious about seeing Robin and more Catwoman with Batman!!

I liked the movie and for any fans I would definately say go watch it in a large theater with lots of people. Good action (when there was action) and the acting was great as always, but Horrible job explaning the characters. In every other superhero movie the time was taken to develop the characters but in this one I believe the ball was not just dropped but burned to a crisp with Very little to NO explanation of them. I believe as the movie stands now it could have easily been 1 hour Shorter and would have driven the same impact. Too much time on Drawn out scenes that we got the jist of imediately and not nearly enough on the plot. Overall I say watch it, but do NOT go expecting the EPICness that people expected from it.

A phenom movie with a great story line, action sequences, characters,and decent dialogue. This is a GREAT 3rd film of the Nolan brother and acting crew of the Dark Knight story. Go see. You will not be disappointed.

Translating the comic book format to the big screen is a difficult task for no other reason than the comic book offers months or years of careful character development and story telling. The Bane story is quite complex and the concept of mentally and physically breaking down batman (as was done in the comic book) over several weeks would be near impossible on the big screen. Nolan and co. have succeeded in taking some of the best elements of the Bane story and crafting/combining them with other comic book canon (Ra's Al Ghul and his daughter for example) to create a completely compelling and satisfying story for both the comic book set as well as the larger, general audience. No spoilers, but the ending is by far the most fitting premise that could be done with the options given. Possibly the best of the three and a fitting end to a landmark trilogy of films.

Few movies have had me more curious and excited than this latest Batman installment. Each preview revealed a little more about the movie (and potential plot) but each one also left me with more questions. The worry all along was that this movie could not live up to its predecessor. Having seen it, I had no reason to worry. Nolan and his cast were spot-on. This movie was excellent and is the perfect conclusion to a breath-taking trilogy.

The plots get sillier, the dialogue gets dumber, the action gets more predictable (and less exciting) and all the dramatic voices get more Darth Vaderish. With no hype, just another vacant summer movie (not a bad thing). With all this hype it becomes a little bit of a joke. Redeeming feature: Holloywood is apparently a good country for old men. Watching Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, even when they're not doing much, is always a pleasure. Lovely irony in Bane's occupy wall street posturing. Lower your expectations, and be pleased. This is a tired story in the hands of a tired director and a tired cast.
