Overrated, boring, and contrived. For nearly three hours of runtime, very little happens. Why didn't the trapped police exit the sewers through a manhole? Why did both sides treat an "unstable" atomic weapon with such little care? How was a prison full of men unable to make the leap made by a pre-pubescent girl?
Avengers is the new bar for comic book films and this fell quite short, not even as good as The Dark Knight Returns, and arguably the worst movie Nolan has made.
Cons bad acting, too complex, slow, nonsensical, overrated, contrived, not batman

I liked the story line they used to get back to the beginning of the old series, Bain pulled it off again and I loved the way Hathaway became Catwoman

I did not have high expectations for this movie. I liked "The Dark Knight" and did not expect this sequel to be better or as good. I did expect to enjoy it and that is why I was disappointed.
The movie did pull off Catwoman nicely. Anne Hathaway is a highlight of the movie.
Bain was not written as well as I needed him to be. They did essentially the same thing with his character in this that they did in "Batman & Robin".
If you don't mind the absence of an interesting villain then you may still enjoy this movie. After "The Dark Knight" though I think we have come to expect more.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Christopher Nolan's take on Batman. Who cannot say that he, along with Christian Bale and the rest of the cast haven't done a great job on their interpretation. I would rate Batman Begins at 5 stars, the Dark Knight 6 out of 5 stars (Heath Ledger's Joker took that movie to great heights) and finally to my point, the current offering at 4 out of 5 stars. With a $250m budget, I thought there would be more action but there wasn't. And perhaps that was the Writers and Mr. Nolan's direction but I wanted more. Also, I had a hard time understanding Bane's voice.....I asked 2 of my boys and they said the same thing. They like his 'tone', just a little hard to understand. Overall, it was a very good movie but I hate to say this but I liked the Dark Knight better.....but still, this is worth seeing on the big screen.

this movie is about what is to be expected however i thought the special effects could have been much better and involved for a new age movie.i feel the character bane was well done as far as acting however would of liked to see a more digital massive bane..the actor wasent nearly large enough as to what was needed to be bane..

The movie overall was great entertainment. The story line, action, suspense and thrilling scenes were just perfect. I liked how the movie was able to show a man who was at a point in his life where nothing mattered because of a past situation, but he was able to overcome his low points in life and fight evil. The special effects were great, the action scenes were superb and the gadgets were cool. I also liked how Catwoman was able to turn for the better and help batman fight evil. The movie was a Summer Hit and it was Amazing.

I was not a big fan of the first movie and I loved the second movie, primarily because of Heath Ledger's performance. But this Batman takes all the good from both previous movies and builds on them. The toys are cooler, the surprises are genuine and the plot is thick. Bane (as played by Tom Hardy) is brilliant.
I think voices are very important in these movies. I always hated Bale's Batman voice, which is a reason I think I didn't care much for Batman Begins. I loved Ledger's maniacal Joker voice and, similarly, Hardy's Bane voice is terrifying and ominous. It helps make him a scary character, even before you see him fight and see him hijack a city.
Anne Hatheway more than holds her own as the saucy Catwoman. She's not just a cliched grrl-power villainess. And unlike, say, Spiderman 3, it doesn't feel like the writers tried to cram another villain into the movie. She fits.
Not everything is perfect, however. The stock exchange hijack plan would never work in real life, and anyone who knows even a tiny bit about the exchange will get that. Try to ignore that bit. I was also disappointed that Bane's goal of make Gotham erupt into chaos is too similar to the goals of the villains in the previous movies. Luckily, Catwoman has much more selfish plans, making her a more realistic character.
All in all, it's a very satisfying movie with great characters, great acting, and a lot of fun action sequences.

Best of the trilogy. Christopher Nolan outdid himself with the enormity of the sets, and the superb acting of the cast. Bane is a great Villan who really makes your jaw drop. The story for the rise of Bruce Wayne was really good, not to mention the amazing special effects for the "bat". Excellent movie!

I would rate this Batman movie as "average". Nothing great about it, which was a huge disappointment, for me. I had really been looking forward to it.
I missed the costumed villians. Anne Hathaway was also disappointing and unconvincing as the Cat Woman. She was trying too hard and just didn't make it. Not even close to the brilliance of the Late Heath Ledger, as The Joker.

I had huge expectations going into this movie and planned on being disappointed. I'm happy to say that I wasn't. The story played out well and ended on a positive note. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

The best movie I've seen this whole year. The plot made perfect sense and I didn't feel like there was any missing pieces to the story line. The movie had me on edge a few times and the ending was perfect.

I have already posted this to my Facebook, but I found this Batman to be my personal favorite. I perfer realistic villans, rather than those straight out of the comic book. Gripping storyline. Did not hurt to have Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Such a strong character. Looking forward to more...
