I must say that compared to 2, then 1 in that order, this movie ranks with the 1st one. It was however a great movie. The story was incredibly well done, with enough twists and turns and foreshadowing to keep you on edge, including people like me that are die hard Batman fans.
With that said, I was slightly disappointed with the movie. Not with the caliber of actors, or the quality of the movie, I was disappointed because for this fan of the comic, they didn't quite make it dark enough for me. They kept it at PG-13, instead of going with an R rating to allow for the full impact of The Dark Knight and what he had to become to Rise.
And for those below that are wondering how/why Tom Hardy for the role of Bane, should check out the movie Warrior and tell me he's a small guy.
Overall a great movie.

My 7th sense was in alert the whole time. I felt like I crossed in another dimension even hours after the movie finished. The revelation close to the end was very predictable right from the beginning. It's a common secret that these kind of movies are preparing us for the upcoming reality. It gave me extra food for thought. I am glad I saw it - it's an interesting experience!

I liked Dark Knight Rises. It's not as great as The Dark Knight, but that was Heath Ledger playing the 'Joker'. This on the other hand, is all about Christian Bale. The way the plot is linked with the previous two movies is simply amazing. And the ending is great also. I hope Nolan-Bale duo will continue to make more Batman movies.

This movie hands down is the BEST Batman movie ever made! The story line was awesome and the acting was superb. I can't wait till the next one. This ending was awesome and left me with anticipation for Batman and Robin next. I hope that they make it soon.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but was not disappointed. You can say what you want about Christian Bale as a person, but as an actor he brings out the tortured Bruce Wayne into Batman perfectly. Anne Hathaway steals every scene she's in, she amazes me more and more in every movie I see her in. Don't listen to whatever bad press you may have heard, Nolan always takes his time telling his stories and if you haven't figured that out by now, you haven't seen the first two or any of of his other brilliant flicks (Memento, Insomnia -go rent them NOW). Great story, great end to Batman.

Christian Bale is by far the best screen actor of Batman - although nothing is as entertaining as Adam West - he's a great Mayor West!
Although Haley Barry was a more vixenous Cat Woman, Anne Hathaway was more on par with Batman's dark past. Man! Is that girl limber or what?
Michael Cain is a classic actor who has the ability to work his English heritage for the moment - from the serious Alfred to the whacky Nigel Powers. There aren't many like him left.

i enjoyed the film the characters were played in a realistic way and had a human touch many people expect the movie to be like a comic type film and are really missing the point as for myself i am very satisfied with the film and Joseph Gordon Levitt did a very goo job in his part proof of what a rising star hes becoming and Anne Hatthaway played a very convincing and differrent cat woman.

After number two Nolan had Great Expectations to close out the franchise. He failed but not miserable. His ambitions were larger than the story and Bale's always feeble rendition of the Dark Knight. Add a sexy but empty Catwoman and you've got an okay three hours in the dark.

This movie was incredibly boring. No plot to speak of. No real character development. All sorts of loose ends with confusing bits of data thrown in. And way too much dark, violent crap. Is it really that enjoyable to watch Batman get the crap beaten out of him? A total bore. Although I did enjoy watching Anne Hathaway be a bad guy (with a soft heart in the end). Previous Batman movie was far better.

I am a big fan of The Dark Knight! Even though the story wasn't "like in the comics" it is a pretty good story. BUT......... where was the utility belt? Gadgets? This is what makes Batman "better" than anyone. I have to say i was disappointed. :/

While there were, in fact, some (one or two) minor flaws in this film, The Dark Knight Rises, still, kept me, very much, entertained, for the entire three hours... I saw the film three times myself, and I, really, genuinely, loved it, all three times... So, yes, I, most definitely, highly recommend that other people go and see this movie, while it is, still, in theaters...!!!

Overall an awesome movie, the only thing was that I found bad about was some of BANES lines you couldnt understand. I just hope that they will do another one with this group. I know they said it is the last one but they left it so wide open.

Movie very well done, and just fun to watch. Great action and special effects, I love the vehicles they come up with. Catwoman was portrayed very well and I loved the development and hints of Robin the Boy Wonder. Believe these past two movies are the best of the Batman series, with Christian Bale as Batman.

Was lacking, but still good. It started very slow, but came together at the end. I was disappointed that there was so little action.

My husband liked it, but not as much as the others. Thought there was too much drama not as much action as usual. I thought it was great! The ending made the movie for me. Great way to go out

Not nearly as good as the last Dark Knight, the untimely death of Heath Ledger hurt this film as his role was sorely missed. Clunky storyline and movie felt like it went on forever.

After The Dark Knight it didn't think this one could live up to it, oh how I was wrong. While I didn't think it was as action packed as the previous movie I do think the story of it was really better planned out. I do recommend this to see, and to love.

I did not care for the story line. I could not hear half of what Bane was saying with the mask on.
And finally, it was way too long...
