Disappointed with the caption situation. It wasn't working and the staffs didn't take the time to fix it. Other than that I heard the movie was good.

I don't even know where to begin with dissecting this movie. Out of the three movies by Christopher Nolan, this was just slightly better than 'Batman Begins'. I still feel like 'The Dark Knight' was far superior than both of them combined. The movie was interesting the first hour or hour and a half -- then it just became predictable. It's like they gave up the second half of the movie, and quite possibly fired the writers because the dialogue became very mundane. The movie could have easily been 20-30 minutes shorter, because half of that was unwitty banter and subpar acting. I kept looking at my watch every five minutes hoping this would end soon. While this movie didn't live up to the hype, I still feel like it was a lot better than most of the movies that have come out in the past 5 years or so.

This was a great movie, and very well done - the only complaint was in Bane's voice. It was deep and evil, but sometimes hard to understand due to the speaker volume in the theater. GREAT MOVIE! NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!

Good movie bordering on excellent. Focus is more on Bruce Wayne rather than Batman. That being said there is non stop action throughout the movie believe it or not.

I thought this movie was fantastic. Great acting all around and action that just wouldn't stop. I thought it was the best of the trilogy. I feel Christian Bale is the ultimate Batman. Iimmediately call our son and told him to go and see it! Highly recommend.

I think that this movie is really better than the Avengers. While the Avengers has 5 or 6 huge named actors, The Dark Knight Rises in my opinion had really just 1 and the other supporting actors surrounding the biggest name, stepped it up and now they have the greatest comic movie of all time. Kudos, to all involved though it is a shame that this movie much like the The Dark Knight is surrounding in controversy over the senseless acts of death.

It was great. Never a slow moment. Made the 2 hours and 40 minutes not seem long at all. Ann hathaway surprised me. She was great as an "action" star. Me, my 11yr old son, 8 yr old daughter and 15 yr old niece all loved this movie and would even go see it again!!

I've read some other reviews that say it wasn't any good, but I believe it was great....and ended just perfect. It included a twist that I didn't foresee which was nice. I didn't even realize it was 2 hr. 44 min, it passed fairly quickly to me. Anyway, I say go see it, i thought it was reallyyy good, and assume there will be another.

It's hard to go into too much detail without spoilers, but... For starters, the whole story/plot is just bad, and I mean, the more you think about what was happening or why anything was happening in the movie, it just got worse. So much of the movie, just does not make any sense and there are so many holes in there it's hard to follow. Plus, just not a lot of really good action, which is what I wanted. The character development was also non-existent. There was also this whole, hating the rich and sticking up for the real people throughout the whole movie that just seemed to come out of nowhere and take over. Oh, and it was almost three hours long, not many movies out there are good for that long, usually means you're trying to hard which was the case. And one more and, I couldn't understand a fourth of what came out of Bane's mouth thingy. Seems most big trilogies should stop after the second one.

I saw this movie at midnight after driving 10 hours with my 2 year old&3 other adults stuffed in a sedan. There was no way i would not be seeing my favorite movies finale. Im not just saying that being a trend goer. Honestly I'm all about Batman all year every year. Refused2see spiderman too close2batman release, rather wait. Only saw acengers once cuz i knew it would be competition for batman. After the drive i thought i would be tired but iI was wide awake loving it the whole time . Unfortunately my daughter woke up & needed me home so I had to leave with 30minutes left. I have grown up loving Batman so this was not an easy thing for me to do but I love my daughter! I saw the dark knight@least 13times in theaters & I wish I my daughter was old enough2take to see it cuz I'm afraid I won't get to see the dark knight rises nearly as many times & she wont see it until she is a little older. However I loved the movie even without seeing the conclusion...yet. I will be seeing the movie at least a few more times though. I find it very strange that some1shot up the premier in Colorado because I have had a long time nightmare that I haven't told any1about cuz it's weird but I was scared I would die or the world would end before I got2see the last batman movie. I'm sorry that some people did. The ones in the hospital&their families I hope can recover from their nightmare&watch this movie without being haunted. I would want2be back in the next showing as soon as I was discharged.

The movie was way too long, at least 1/2 hour could have been cut. The director was trying to show family and character history, but dwelled too much on these concepts. When people go to a Batman flick, they want action, action and more action. I believe you did need some backround to set up certain characters. The special effects were great and the new bat flyer was cool. Anne Hathaway stole the show. She is a beauty and the Cat costume was very" fitting" indeed. The senior circuit members, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine held their own with there usual classic acting skills in evidence.
Cons too complex, slow, some actors were very good others so so.

This is the move we've been waiting for because the two previous Dark Knight movies have been so great. Well, I can honestly say this one tops them all! Tom Hardy's performance as Bane rivals Heath Ledger's near-perfect Joker as one of the best villains of all time. I don't know what the budget of this film was, but it must have been in the hundreds of millions. You've seen the football field implode in the trailers and that's just one of many, many special effects sequences that will blow your mind as you're watching. Just go and see this movie and you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I walked into the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises expecting it to not be as good as The Dark Knight due to Heath Ledger's phenomenal acting. I was dead wrong. This movie was truly just breathtaking and amazing. I was skeptical about Anne Hathaway being Catwoman but she made the part her own. Tom Hardy as Bane was an amazing pick and truly could rival that of Heath Ledger.
I was consistently on my seat for the whole three hours of the film. And, by the end, I was teary-eyed at what I had watched. You follow Batman as he becomes a hero, giving his all to save Gotham, and seeing this happen truly moved me.
The only complaint that I have was that sometimes I could not understand a word or two that Bane said. Besides that this movie was truly amazing. I wished they used the name Dick Grayson though.. would have been cool. This movie was filled with twists and turns and should be seen by any person who wants to se a masterpiece. It left me thinking now how any superhero movie, let alone any movie, could top this movie and series.

The Dark Knight Rises was facing perhaps the most heightened anticipation and ridiculous expectations out of any movie in the past decade, (A similar situation to that of the the third Lord of the Rings film). And without a doubt The Dark Knight Rises meets and satisfies almost every movie goer who has enjoyed the series. Christopher Nolan pulls off a feat that proves his director's prowess in that he was able to engage and captivate an audience for nearly three hours of cinematic sequence. I myself am an avid movie goer so length of a film isn't really a big deal to me but i know that was one concern a few people i knew had about TDKR. Every fan in the packed theater around me on the midnight premier was interested and engaged for the entire film and applause were given at the end. I must say the plot was phenomenal and coherent with a few leaps of faith that didn't overshadow the film. The acting was done perfectly and my hopes that Micheal Caine receives a nod for Best Supporting Actor may finally be met. Caine played the emotional backbone throughout the whole trilogy and the ending would not be possible without his performance. Another quick acting note; Tom Hardy did an excellent job in his portrayal of Bane and i felt he played the character to what Bane should be in the story of Batman. After Heath Ledger's Joker, an enjoyably sinister villain was not going to work again because it would be overshadowed by the previous film, so Chris Nolan's Bane was not meant to be as likeable and enjoyable as the Joker was. Bane was meant to be the enemy and brutal and want to kill and torture Batman rather then the Joker's almost destructively playful view towards him. This is important because the focus for the final film shouldn't be on a villain but rather the hero of the trilogy and Tom Hardy's excellent work resulted in a unanimous love for the hero and a desire to see him triumph over a cruel and evil villain. A final note of why i enjoyed TDKR is that as a viewer you actually fear for the hero and don't know whether or not he is going to win, which is something no superhero movie has done for the past decade. I feel i should include a few of my brief critiques for the film: as i said earlier there were a few leaps of faith in the plot that won't disrupt the film but they do require the viewer to go with it. And also regarding the acting, it was all done brilliantly and the characters were individualized and the actors made them their own but after the unbelievable performance by Heath Ledger in the previous film, it almost feels like there is no standout simply because the Joker was so perfect before and this will in no way ruin the film but its a curse of how good the second installment was. Anybody who enjoys the Batman series or a good film this is a must see, believe me the ending is just excellent and i am definitely going back to see it another time which is not a norm for me but i enjoyed it so much and need another viewing simply to explore more of the themes, symbols, and undertones Nolan put in. 9/10

Saw the movie this morning (7/20) in IMAX and was very pleased. I went in expecting a lot, and was not disappointed. I personally, and I stress PERSONALLY liked the second movie better than this, simply because The Jokers character is my all time favorite. That being said, Christopher Nolan needed to up the ante with this film, and he did. Bigger scope, deeper story, great acting and cast, and overall just a great film. When it came to the character of Bane, he was pure evil and haven't seen a character like him before. So I'm only one person and it's only my opinion, but I would surely recommend this movie to a Batman fan, or simply just a fan of movies in general. I have plans to see this movie at least once more next week, and I'm sure there will be more after that. Enjoy the film!

For a life long batman fan i would say this movie " the dark knight rises", became to be one of my favorites (because every batman movie is amazing in its own), but not overall from the trilogy... It tend to be a bit slow in the beginning but still had my attention through out the film. the characters were there playing their roles but quite different and more realisticaly (which i enjoy) ... I would give it a great review because it had all of the ttheatrical elements that one would want to be involved in while watching a movie ; surprise, excitment, and immersed...
p.s the ending was outstanding ...

First review, from my view as a true comic book reader and following the movies even will they are different . Nolan captures The BATMAN in a grand fashion. If you're looking for a movie that is both visually stunning (I.E. Transformers) but has a good story line as well, than look no further. The third installment in Nolan's trilogy of the Dark Knight series is utterly breathtaking. The acting is impeccable thanks to an army of big name actors.
Tom Hardy was the PERFECT choice for the ruthless character Bane. He was very daunting to look at and it's clear that Nolan knows what he's doing when he casts his roles.
My only complaint is, (and I'm not sure if it was just the theater that I was in, or if it is an on going problem) but the music was over bearing many times to the point where you could not hear the dialogue. That being said, it did not take away from the film what-so-ever as it was a true pleasure watching this film unfold.
Nolan nailed it on the head by incorporating the other two films into this one. It was done flawlessly, and the 2 hour and 45 minute run time seems almost non-existent by the time the film finishes. I would say if you have not seen this film, it is a MUST SEE! See it in theaters, and see how a REAL super hero movie/trilogy is supposed to look!

This was a fantastic conclusion to one of the best movie trilogies ever made. It took a little while to build the story due to the complexity of the storyline. The action pulls the viewer down with the good people of Gotham them builds to an epic conclusion that may bring tears of sorrow and joy. Director Nolan poses the question...what would you be if you were freed from your expected societal role and challenges the viewer to examine our society and what we have done to make it better.
Well acted all and visually stunning.
