A true dose of reality in American politics. Sad but true! Loved Loved Loved Galifianakis' character and of course Ferrell hits another one out of the park. Not a movie for the timid but great way to have some mindless fun after the long work week!

I thought this movie had a hilarious story line very true to current politics. The acting was great..I did However feel like the previews made it seem like it would be more hilarious than it ended up being. Don't get me wrong though..it's very funny and I would def see it again.

This movie was kind of raunchy, needless private part jokes and swearing, and gratutitous nudity but Galifianakis has so darn funny I didn't get as offended as I should have. Don't take the kids unless you want to have some splaining to do Lucy ... but adults enjoy and expect to laugh and laugh hard.

I love Will Ferrell and went to this movie hoping for some good laughs. I am partial to gutter style humor and gags that appeal to 12 year old boys, so it is not like my standards are impossibly high. I did laugh out loud a few times - especially with the running joke where an asian servant is forced to speak like Aunt Jemimah because it reminds her bigoted boss of "the good old days." I just came away feeling like the writers had blown it. The actors were good enough - there just wasn't enough funny material.

[A] very raunchy and sometimes pretty funny comedy - which isn't above going for dumb jokes, but is also smart enough to play to its two stars' strengths. ...if you're already fed up with just how stupid real life politics has become, this movie is the antidote. The movie has political savvy as well as comedic chops and a must see.
