I enjoyed the movie but I will say that I do not read comic books so I was not expecting or looking for anything in this movie. It is a great back story for the Avengers, and I appreciate what Marvel is doing before bring out the movie. My Aunt, and I went with my 3 kids and we all enjoyed the movie. In the words of my 10 y/o Chris Evans is "Hunky".

This is a very worthwhile installment that I will recommend my movie loving friends to watch. I was a bit worried about Chris Evans playing the lead, as his previous work had some serious delivery issues. It was a enjoyable movie. It was well constructed, looked great and had good acting. The "3D" was a complete waste of money though, there wasn't a single shot in the whole movie that felt 3D. There was more depth to the supposed 3D in the ending credit sequence than any of the film. Also, there really should've been more Captain America being a bad ass. Oh well. I'm not reviewing this in regard to the comics, by the way, just in the medium of film as presented. In any case, I enjoyed it, and think it's worth it, aside from the 3D. I still want to see the Avengers.

Nice set up movie with plenty of action and letting us know how Captain America came to be. Enjoyed the Stark references so we can see Tony's (Iron Man) driven Dad and get to know him more. Captain America is too good to be true but that is his appeal and who doesn't love the skinny kid turned muscle man theory, nicely done. Always enjoyable in the Cinepolis recliners!

I went with my mom, adult nephew, teen niece, and pre-teen niece, and we all came out of the theater having thorougly enjoyed this movie. The effects were great, and the character was so spot on from the comics. Can't wait for the Avengers!

Great (guy oriented) family movie. I loved that movie tried to remain true to it origins. At least according to my recollections from reading the comic series when I was little. I'm sure that the next version of CA will include all of the cool gadgets now that he's current. I hope that the fundamental character of Steve Rogers (which is what makes him CA) doesn't change. He needs to remain just as apple pie as he was in this version.

This was my first 3D (I know, must have been under that rock too long), anyway I thought it was great!! The story was a good old fashioned tale of good vs evil and the special effects with the guns was great!! My husband and I enjoyed it very much. It was nice to see a super-hero movie that didn't try to be the second coming. It wasn't trying to blow the viewer away, it didn't go heavy on CGI (outside of "scrawnifying" Chris Evans), it just tried to be a simple, old-fashioned action movie -- kind of in keeping with the era it was set in. One small warning, however: The tune "Star-Spangled Man," which is performed during war bond rallies, is one of the deadliest earworms I've heard in a long time. The words don't stick, but, LORD, the melody lingers on -- and on, and on, and on!

A good movie that brought out the first avenger in his dutiful role as the "good guy" with morals from the golden age. Excellent watch and never once thought about leaving the theater.

This was a great movie. I like the back ground information on Captain America. Did not like the ending all that well. Could have been better. Also the follow up preview of the next movie should be earlier in the credits. If a friend had not told us about the preview we would have left the theater earlier and not seen it.
