My mom and I saw it together at the 9:35 at night and we where the only two people in the showing. IT WAS A BLAST! We both agreed that it was like we where there. We enjoyed every second, and was sad when it was over. At first when they where incorporating the fans in with the movie I was like awww lame! But then after a while I really enjoyed peoples different experience with Glee. I loved the movie and if tickets weren't so expensive I would definately go again!

I loved this movie, I couldn't wait till it came out! The songs and performances all rocked. I enjoyed the behind the scenes when it showed them getting ready. It shows their sense of humor even off the show! However I would have prefered that it was just them and maybe how they prepare for the concert. I could have done without the stories of the teens. Even though I am happy Glee has had that impact on so many young people! I plan on going to see it again this week! I can't wait till it will eventually be on DVD, then I can really dance and sing with them in my own living room!

The title says it all - I give it 3 D's! Some of the music was great although loud "busy" and caotic. The gay agenda was a sad message to send our young people. Love and marraige is to be between a man and a woman. one and half thumbs down!

Loved the performances but the stories lacked! I went to see the movie because the previews made it seem like there was a lot of behind the scenes of the Glee Cast but there was hardly any. I was extremely disappointed. If it weren't in 3D, I would have given it 2 stars because then it would have been really bad. It also seemed really choppy and poorly put together, like the cast had shot it themselves. It also became very confusing as to whether the cast was themselves or their characters. Hoping if they make another Glee movie that it is more about the cast members! The movie however does not change my views on the show.

I only gave this a high rating because the Glee performances were so spectacular. It would have been nice to actually see those performances in full rather than these horribly cut-down versions in the movie.
The attempt to weave the fan stories into a movie failed miserably, simply because no director, no matter how genius, could actually create a whole cohesive movie in two months. The fan stories were nice, but the movie never came together with a message or flow or story at all. That would have taken a lot more production and editing time!
The live show itself told a whole story and had a flow to it and a message! The movie completely ignored that, threw in cut up shortened versions of some of the songs, and threw them in entirely out of order. Friends with me who are fans of the show but didn't see the live tour watched this movie and thought that the Glee actors were not in character on stage. They didn't understand the tiny little backstage clips at all. The movie makes it look like the live show was just the actors getting up there to singing some of the songs from their hit TV show for you, since it's all out of order and the songs have no introduction or follow-through. They are reallly just random clips of some of the songs and not all of the songs from the live show. The tiny in-character shots from backstage were pointless since there were so few of them and so short that you never get a sense of the characters from Lima are here doing a live show. The short clips therefore seem nothing but silly. The best backstage material was used only in the trailers and teasers, and not in the movie.
With no storyline for the songs on stage, which the live show had and the movie cut out, things like Artie miraculously dancing made no sense, Forget You didn't belong anywhere, Empire State of Mind had none of the impact it had live, etc etc etc. Right after one of the moving fan stories concluded with the fan disclosing how much the character of Kurt Hummel changed his life, the camera REPEATEDLY follows Rachel in the duet with Kurt, with Rachel close-up after close-up after close-up, showing Kurt off in her background as if it's not a duet at all, but a Rqchel solo with him kind of also there but not important as an extra back-up. I found that particularly disturbing, since even fans posting cel phone camera versions of the song on YouTube did a better job of capturing the beauty of that duet and its meaning to both Rachel and Kurt, as well as to fans like Trenton.
I think that if you attempt to make a major motion picture in 3D and create the whole thing in mere months, the only thing that could have worked would have been to just follow the storyline of the live show, present the full songs, and give movie-goers a movie version of the concert. The three main fan-stories could have been presented each in turn as its own full story and made more sense than interspersing them and all the other random fan questions throughout as they were, without enough cohesion. The movie could have presented just the stage show and then the director could have taken the time to put together the fan stories better and release them on the DVD.
The way it was done, too rushed, too ambitious for the timing, and therefore way too shoddily thrown together, this movie accomplished none of its goals. It was wholly dissappointing, and is only worth seeing because even with cut-down versions of the songs, it is fantastic to see great-quality footage of these performer singing on stage. The fan stories and Kellen (the mini Warbler) are worth seeing as well, and could have been moving and fabulous, if only they had been given the respect of good editing and storytelling which a longer production period than a couple months would have allowed.

Concert film felt like a rah rah meeting for fans in NJ. Rushed production led to some pretty sloppy shots and frames the stuff I could do when I am filming my niece and nephew in their annual christmas shows. The vingettes felt staged and inauthentic. The only story I kinda liked was the Janae story. I did not believe the girl with Asbergers, she felt a little too much like an actress and the gay teen did not seem any more empowered than any other teen. Performances were bounced and out of order as compared to the actual concert. The insistance that actors stay in character was unfortunate. I actually would have preferred to get to know the actors versus the characters. Ultimately it felt like a wanna be glossy promo film. Plus, I was in a sitting with a total of 7 people in the theater, Two weeks might be too long a stint for this film.

I was lucky enough to be at the concert the night it was filmed for use in this "3D concert movie." However, after attending what was an incredibly innovative, well-directed and face-paced "live" event (full of energetic and talented performers), the movie left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Instead of the movie being inter-cut with real-life examples of people who are "different" (and how GLEE, the series might have positively influenced or impacted their lives), I would have loved to have just experienced the concert again, from start to finish (with perhaps a few backstage insights at the beginning or end of the film). More planning should have gone into the project. I think shooting a project on June 17th and then releasing a film less than 2 months after was ambitious and contributed to a lack of focus for any "message" the film may have wanted to convey.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. We did not get to go to the actual concert, so, for us, this was the next best thing. I highly recommend this movie to anyone, Gleek Fan or not, if they love music. The 3D experience made it feel like I was actually at the concert...LOVED IT!

Really enjoyed the movie from start to finish. Just like being at the concert without the bad seats. Could have been a little longer than 100 minutes. Some dumb people left when the credits started and they missed the final song, that's their loss.

I thought it was a fun concert movie. Did not really make great use of the 3D so a bit overpriced. Wish there was less filler and more concert footage. A little behind the scenes footage would have been enough. The glee fan interviews did not make the concert experience better. The film does make me want to see Glee live in concert and skip the next film if there is one.

We smiled and sang with our hearts and hopes throughout this movie. The outstanding 3D quaility made us feel that we had the best seats in the concert with backstage passes! The interviews with real life "Gleeks" which parallel the lives of actual Glee characters were so heart warming and enlightening. The incredible talent, outstanding direction and "realness" of the performers is so impressive. "Glee" inspires us to embrace our uniqueness and pursue our dreams.

Really enjoyed the movie and think the concert must have been great. I had two issues - not enough balance between the cast members. You didn't see some of them at all. And the Britney number was completely not necessary. Heather Morris is an incredibly talented performer and that over the top sexy number (given the family pull for this film) seemed out of place and trying to hard. She is great doing anything - she could have been dressed and less sexed up and she still would have been great. Overall - lots of fun for all. Love that the music of my teen years is enjoying so much replay.

I couldn't take my eyes off.I appreciate the talent of these characters even more. Brittney...WOW!!!! the movie was very skillfully constructed to relate the trial and tribulations of the characters with teenagers in real life. Kids who struggle with weight, size, disabilities, homosexuality, etc. can find a counterpart in the show who is successful with their disabilities. worth seeing again and again.

I went with a friend who doesn't watch Glee & she had a great time. I went to the show and the movie and loved every second of both. Just really wish they hadn't cut Single Ladies and the Klaine skit, and added the trainwreck that is Don't Rain On My Parade. I expected the fan pieces to be annoying interruptions but ended up loving the stories.

It was amazing!! The next best thing for those unable to attend the concerts! Any gleek will love it, even if they were able to attend the concerts. Also good for non-gleeks to show them what the show is about. I plan to go see it again!!

I could see this movie again. It was like having a great seat at the concert, without fighting the crowds! It was fun to see that these amazingly talented performers are treated like rock stars-except that their characters portray positive examples! See it.

For a Gleek this movie is a chance to see the concert if they could not see it live. For a Non-Gleek it's a chance to see why we love Glee so much for so many different reasons given the personal testimonies from three people who society would deem are "losers." As a Gleek though I was a little disappointed that the concert footage seemed less important than the stories of the three people. I would have liked to see the skits, the Kliss even, and more songs. I was overall very happy, the 3D gave me the best seat in the whole arena for the concert and the music was great. I approve but it could have been a little better I think.
