I wondered why this movie didn't do better, especially with the cast that had been lined up...now I know. It wasn't that bad, however; your movie dollar could be better spent. The film did seem to move along at a steady pace, but there wasn't enough character development, the action wasn't that exciting except in a couple of places, and the performances were not the quality I expected from this cast. I was disappointed, and only wish I had waited for rental.

The critics didn't rate this movie so well and that made me believe that it wouldn't be that great either. But I really liked it. I liked Jamie Bell in it-he was good. Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks were a good duo as well and you ended up wanting the man on the ledge to succeed in his evil plan. And the camera angle was really cool when he jumped off the building as well.

The movie was pretty good. I thought it had good suspense, drama, and excitement. It could have been a little edgier with more detail on the actual criminal setup, but overall pretty good.

If you like suspense movies, you will like Man on a Ledge. I went with low expectations having read some of the critics reviews, and it just confirmed that I can't always trust what they say. I was engaged throughout the entire movie, and I have been known to get up and leave often when I don't connect with a movie. Not a lot of "action" and almost no gore. Recommended.

We really enjoyed this movie. Tense at the right times, good writing and acting. I'm not sure why the critics were so cranky about this one, I think if you found the trailer to look interesting you would enjoy it.
