I told my daughter we should've seen Mission Impossible! This movie is aweful, it is so slow and boring. Then it finally gets interesting, within the last 15 min and then boom, it's over. I am so mad that I spent my time and money.

So my husband and I get the occasional date night without the kids and it was completely wasted on this movie. Other than the 1 or 2 parts that were only scary because of the surprise effect, it was ridiculous and all the camera movement made me nauseous just like the Blair Witch Project. It took FOREVER to even get me interested and then it just dragged. It only started even interesting me remotely within the last 15 min and i was still falling asleep. The ending just made me mad. I was so looking forward to this movie...don't bother wasting your money nor your time.

Yes, this story plays like the documentary of a daughter looking into the 3 murders that her mother apparently committed during an exorcism. We are never told that it's based on a real story, but it pretends to be based on a real story. It is also filmed with a shaky first-person camera a-la The Blair Witch Project, which it clearly uses as a roll model. There are plenty of sudden noises, creepy scenes in the dark where a possessed person is on the loose, and bizarre feats of strength. It doesn't make for a good time at the movies and it's more ridiculous than it is scary. I don't recommend it.

My friend and our teenage daughters went to see this movie and laughed through most of it!! The acting was horrible! A couple times it was a little scary but nothing that made it worth the money or time!! The ending was the worst I have ever seen! If you want to see a comedy I would recommend it for a good laugh!

I had really high hopes for this movie but once I saw it, I walked out the movie theater feeling regret and disappointment. The trailer had me more excited than the actual film. I didn't mind the fact that it was filmed in the style of a documentary but it was really hard to believe even if it was actual found footage. Paranormal Activity did a way better job than The Devil Inside. I've read other reviews about the film but I thought to myself, different people have different opinions, but now I feel like I should of just seen another movie that was worth the wait. If you've seen the trailer, you practically saw the whole movie in less than 3 minutes. Wouldn't recommend it to friends or family.

If you've seen the trailers - you've seen the majority of the best scenes in the entire movie! I really think the trailer should have let potential viewers know it is shot in "documentary" format, which I am not a big fan of. This movie was much along the lines of paranormal activity, in the way that it is filmed from the perspective of a documentary being filmed. I thought the story had potential of being good, but the story line just didn't pull through. It was a lot of random details mashed together with not much explanation for the things that were going on. And if that's not bad enough, the unresolved ending just is the cherry on top.

I went to see this movie last night, and was severely disappointed in how short the film was, and most of all how it ended. This movie was a waste of my $$! It was too short and didnt even scare me. When it ended abruptly the audience were all pissed and disappointed, saying "I want a refund!!"... Leaving the theater there were people standing in line to see it and you could hear the exiting crowd telling them to not see it, or get there money back.

This is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Yes, it had parts throughout the movie that were scary and intense. But after just an hour into the movie it's over and the ending literally had people in the theatre throwing popcorn!

I am not going to recap what the others have said about the content and direction of the movie, it's fairly spot on. One good twist in this movie is they use science and religion together, which is a path few take. The movie is exactly on par with others like Paranormal Activity 3 and Blair Witch. If you didn't mind those movies, you won't mind this one. And yes, just like the other two movies the ending leaves you hanging. When the credits started to roll, my wife and I both stated "that's where they left it?". If you are waiting for a movie to rise above the shoulders of movies like Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch, this is NOT your movie.

The whole purpose of going to watch a horror movie is to get scared, jump in your seat when scenes get nasty and once your back home still remember the scary details of the frightest moments....and yes,... The Devil Inside did it....plain and simple, you will get scared!

Should have listened to the reviews! Did not enjoy it at all (neither did the other 3 people with me).
Movie plays out in typical "documentary" type recording style to give you that "real" feel. Over-done, and not well written. The actors weren't horrible, but also weren't very good. Don't expect to be scared, or entertained! Oh, an the ending is the iciing on the "Bad Movie" cake!
