My daughter wanted to watch this movie and I figured "Why not?" We've seen all the "Paranormal Activity" movies and other exorcism themed films, such as "The Last Exorcism" and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". This film is mock documentary style with multiple cameras and shaky handcam work. The scenes with the exorcisms were scary moments, including showing the one girl in an impossibly contorted body, but there was a scene that I predicted would happen. There is action towards the end, but the ending throws everyone in the audience for a loop. The one phrase that sums up the ending: "That's it?!"

Seeing the trailer for this movie during a screening of Paranormal Activity 3 caught my attention, and as the days drew near to the release of this film, my friends and I began to get excited. I was practically dragged to see this movie by my wife, who is into this stuff. I let her have it.... I thought this was the worst movie I have ever seen. All the good parts of the movie were already shown in the preview. It wasn't scary. Don't go if you get motion sickness because all the movie does is shake and the ending was just awful. I have been to many movies where there are mixed reactions. It's a copy of the paranormal movies, using the "shaky camera" / fake documentary style of movie making. There is only so much of this you can take. The actors/actresses talking straight to the camera with poorly scripted lines in combination with the overacting makes it so bad. We were all excited to see this movie that we even purchased our tickets online so as not to waste time at the theatre. The movie started out pretty creapy which is what I paid to see. Though the fake documentary thing has been done many, many times before you still felt yourself questioning at first if it was real or not but soon you catch on that it is not. The story line was good and the drama leading up to the first exorcism was what I was looking for but after that first exorcism the movie went a little wierd and didnt make much sense. The ending was a huge disapointment, so much so that others in the theatre I was in begin yelling out "what" "is that it" and laughing. You were left wondering if something else was gonna happen or should you put your coat on and leave. There was some good scary parts and the story was good but the movie in whole was predictable and I felt as though we have seen the movie before. ..seeing it. Better to grab an ice cold bottle of holy water, settle down in a comfy chair and pop in your blu-ray copy of the original "Exorcist". The truth is it will be a more worthwhile investment of your entertainment dollars and your ever-decreasing bank of leisure time to see "The Exorcist" for the umpteenth time than see "The Devil Inside" once. It's a shame that the entire movie could not live up to the suspense, effects and quality displayed in that one scene in the basement where we see the first attempt at an exorcism. That 10 minutes was not bad (better than "not bad" even) .... but 10 minutes does not a worthwhile film make. And - note to director - the shaky, hand-held camera, horror movie thing has been done a lot now and it has been done very well. It's quite boring to see it these days ....often irritating....unless there is something else original and powerful accompanying it. An alb draped rhino horn down.

It was a poorly made documentary type movie. The filming was unsteady and made you dizzy just to watch it and it was not scary at all. Truly disappointing!!!!

This movie was too freaking advertised and wasn't ever worth a tenth of what we spent for those tickets. The movie was not scary...it was just freaky to a certain extent but nothing cool like I was expecting, it had no real plot and it ended so abruptly that left everyone in the theater so mad and wanting their money back! I saw mission impossible today and it was F'IN amazing! dnt waste ur money on this one go see Mission Impossible instead!
