Decent movie. Glad we went to the earlier show--would have been disappointed with a 9.50 ticket price. Startling parts and slow parts to the movie. You can tell it involved the people responsible for the Paranormal series...the ending was abrupt.

This film just does not deliver as promised. They should give the person who put together the trailer a bonus because he/she was able to make a rather boring movie look scary and suspenseful. The fact that the filmmaker did create one moment that made me jump made me feel even more let down. He knew what to do, but he just never followed through again. The acting was mediocre and the actors are never really believable as documentary subjects; try as they may, they always sound like they are reading from a script. The woman who played the lead girl's mom was actually very good, but that's it. I would have given this a one, but the production value was decent. A good way to judge if you'll like this or not is how you felt about BLAIR WITCH. If you didn't like that, uou won't like this.

I have to give credit to who ever made the trailer for this movie because it made it look so good and so scary I couldn't wait to see it. Sadly the trailer was the only good thing to come from this movie. They tried to hop on the Paranormal Activity bandwagon with the documentary style shaky camera work, which would have been fine if it didn't get all blurry trying to focus everytime something exciting happened. The premise was decent, but the actual story lacked in many different ways. They would touch on something a few times to make it seem important but then never explain it later on. The way they ended it was also a big let down. I'm all for cliffhangers so people can have stuff to talk about after the movie is over, but this ending just lets everyone down. When the lights came on, everyone had the same reaction of "that's it?!?" I was really looking forward to a quality scary movie, and all I got was 87 minutes of disappointment. I wouldn't even recommend seeing it when it comes out on DVD. Wait until its on Netflix, that way you have nothing to lose. So disappointing...

Im very sad that I wasted money paying for this. The special effects were bad, the script was badly written...and where the heck did the storyline go? Previews make it look scary and wicked...it was just ...well...dumb, unless your a 10 year old girl. The R rating sure wasnt for gore or scariness it was for the language and foul things spit out by the possesed. Um...Reagan from the excorcist wants her lines back...ha ha Way to predictable, and everytime I thought " ok, here it comes", it just went. The ending was really just a hideous copout for a tremendous pile of junk. It was like someone realized what a pile of crap it was while making it and just gave up. I was fairly disappointed with this one. I had been excited to see it, thinking it would be terrifying like the commercials. Unfortunately, the commercials about sum it up. Overall, the movie ended too abruptly and quickly, giving the feeling that the story was unfinished.
While this film left a lot to be desired, I do have to commend the actess who played Maria Rossi. She was by far the most frightening point of this film, and I would have liked to see more of her. The only other even mildly frightening part included a Baptism, and that was more sickening than scary.
I would wait this one out and watch when it comes to DVD. Not quite worth the theater.

I love horror movies and this one had me on the edge of my seat anxious. There was everything a horror movie should have. Some blood, violence, possessions, demons, etc; It was funny, entertaining and terrifying. I didn't think it focused on the mother as much as it seemed like it would but it was really good. The trailer was scarier than the movie! The ending was ridiculous; everyone in the theatre boo'd at it when the credits came up. The nun in the trailer has nothing to do with the movie at all; the girl just walks right pass her and that's it. WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!
