If you're going to the movies for a great story line, Academy Award winning acting, and intense dialogue then don't see this film! However, if you want a night filled with Action, Explosions, and to see some of the Greatest action heroes to walk the Earth then this film is for you! The opening sequence is fantastic followed by a few dull moments but all leading to an epic battle that will have you on the edge of your seat. The humor thrown in makes for an added bonus and the way these aging heroes interact with each other on camera is amazing.
Now, am I probably being biased? Yes! I'm a huge Stallone, Willis, Norris and Arnold fan so this was perfect for me. If your favorite movie is the Notebook and you enjoy quiet eveings at home then this movie will rank low in your rankings. If you need dense plot and a storyline that will allow you to read into every detail then order Mr Hollands Opus and call it a day. For those of you who want a night of action go see this film!!!!! and while your there..throw back a few cold ones as well and enjoy a great summer action hit!!!

Ok so its been a REAL disappointing summer. There are several big movies the past few months that have turned out to be a total waste of time. They should have led the summer with this one not ended it. Regardless,, for those of you expecting big things from this movie rest assured that your expectations will be met. I loved the first expendables and this one is even better!!! This movie includes all the action you can handle but they threw some serious heart into the mix as well this time. There is alot of warmth and humor on top of everything that was great about the first film. This is easily the best movie Ive seen in a very long time...It is absolutely worth a trip to the theater..and it is an immediate must see!!

This is an "ALL-GUY" movie with outstanding actors. All the tough guys were present and those that were not probably are wishing they were. I have attended movies in recent years because they had gotten so lousy; however, this movie redeemed the movie industry as a real block buster. The action is virtually non-stop while the story line unfolds.

Typical Sylvestor Stallone movie with constant video game like shootings and killings. Kind of action porn, that is, action for the sake of action. It was entertaining but it could have used little more character development and plot lines. Will go see Expendables part 3 because of star power.

The testostrone loaded, intense, action-packed mercenaries known as "The Expendables" are back!! They have increased the size of their group thus allowing them to take on assignments that require more of their special skills.
Mr Church (Bruce Willis) enlists Barney (Sylvester Stallone) and his crew "The Expendables" to take on what seems to be a very easy job of recovering a computer device that is locked in a safe aboard a plane that has crashed somewhere in China. "The Expendables" easily retrieve the computer device and were on their way to leaving the area, but unbeknownst to them they were followed to the plane crash site by a group known as the "Huns". The story unfolds from there..
"The Expendables 2" is a blast!! It's "Action Packed", "In your face Bloody Violence" and "High Energy". The movie opens with an involved action scene, followed by another and another until you get to the end where they saved the best for last.
Of Course the entire story is perposterous, but it's fun anyway. There are some holes in the story and a few unfinished scenes. There is a lot of jumping around, but I am sure because of time this was necessary.
If you saw the first installment "The Expendables" in 2010, you will understand the jumping around. Sylvester Stallone is the screen writer on "The Expendables" movies he makes you assume some things to save time.
Pros well paced, high energy, action packed

Great movie; lots of action from start to finish. I like the the human side they show in it as well. The best part of the movie was the ending. After the movie my 2 boys wanted to know more on the actors. I will be having movie night on Fridays and Saturday's for a long time. Watching great classics with them such as Delta Force, Total Recall, last action hero, die hard trilogy, hard target, rambo and many more. Thanks for kick starting more family moments.
This movie also keeps true to what made them ACTION HEROS…live action not tons of computer generated action moments.

Let me start off by saying I was on my phone buying tickets for Sunday on my way out of the Friday night show. If you loved the first, you will LOVE the 2nd!! The trailer sums up the plot

This isn't some long drawn out plot with a bunch of twists and turns, this is a bunch cock diesel grunts with BIG GUNS blowing bad guys to smithereens!! Non stop action, stuff blowing up!! One of THE BEST SEQUELS OF ALL TIME BETTER THAN ORIGINAL! I'm a 34 year old woman who's straight that just went crazy, lost my mind over this movie. Best action movie ever made... My favorite movie was always Die Hard, this just bumped die hard to second place... IT'S CRAZY ! IT'S LEGENDARY! IT'S BETTER than anything i've seen. This historical movie took 30 years in the making, combining every action movie we love. GO SEE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN! you will thank Stallone for his awesome vision.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, action packed, excellent humor, smart references, laugh out loud funny, legendary payoffs

This is the action movie of the year, it delivers a knock out punch from opening sequence to final credits. You really get a well rounded storyline and well formed characters. They did here what they lacked in Expendables, you won't be disappointed. Statham delivers, but so do they all. This is a shouldn't miss it on the big screen action flick. Well worth the treck to the midnight pre-screen! I'll be down front a few more times to be sure. :))
