Great movie full of action and martial arts. I think this movie was better than the first one. Had a great time and seeing all of the older action actors together was excellent. Just sorry to see the young Helmworth die. He could have been in the third film if there is going to be one.

The Expendables 2 was much better than even the first movie. It had great actors that mixed some great humor in with all the action/adventure. The crowd was very reactive and fun to the film and everyone literally cheered when Chuck Norris walked in. Really exciting and fun film. I definately recommend this for some great end of summer fun!

Do not attempt to take this movie seriously. From minute one, it's gonna be over the top blood, bullets and busting laughs. Though I will admit, Liam Hemsworth gains a little bit of my respect and shrugs off his teen idol image with the job he did here. I haven't seen this many jokes about being old in action movies since the entire Lethal Weapon franchise. Just watch with a slightly lighter heart than the first one and enjoy everything as it comes.

While the first outing amounted to nothing more than a boring line-up of famous action stars, the sequel is that rare species that is better, far better, than the original. Returning much of the same cast as the original, tossing in a few new names, and nabbing Simon West (Con-Air) to direct are all part of this fun upgrade. Not to mention a script that takes itself far less seriously than the first film, and action scenes that are more thrilling, more intense, better choreographed, and far more bloody and violent. This is the ultimate guy movie. Before you go, let me just list the names who appear in this film. Like the first film, the names alone are enough to get you to drop cash for the ticket, but in The Expendables 2 it’s everything else that makes you very glad you did. Starring: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, and Nan Yu. Is there a plot? Yeah, I guess so, but it’s not important. What’s important is that they are looking to cast Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Wesley Snipes, John Travolta, and Nicolas Cage in The Expendables 3. Excited yet?

A dash of old school action stars, a pinch of simple revenge plot, a heaping of explosions and gunfights - you get the greatest action movie of the year. This goes to show you that having a blockbuster hit doesn't need fancy CGI or a complicated storyline with a twist. This movie keeps the formula simple while bringing a lot of soul. I was dragged to this movie, but ended up enjoying it immensely. The actors enjoyed laughing at themselves and their previous roles throughout the movie, so it didn't come off cheesy. It was certainly action-packed, had a thoughtful story line, and the stunts were amazing. My only complaint was the gratuitous blood splatters. While I'm sure war is disgustingly bloody, I think the movie could have cut back on the red squirting everywhere, all the time. Overall, I'd recommend this to flick to anyone who likes to see action movies and the good guys triumph.

I would rather have watched any movie running on TV at home. In fact during this movie I was thinking, wow, I would rather be home working on this really boring project I have to get done for my job. This was the most predictable, boring, corny movie ever. You sat there thinking about whose plastic surgery looked worse, and errands you could run on the way home from the theatre.

THIS is how you pull off an in your face, classic action film. It is exactly what it's supposed to be and does it with humor, guts and glory.

When my brother told me that he wanted to see this movie, I admit that I was less than enthused. I had seen the first one on Netflix recently, and was not impressed, the acting in that one had a feeling of "forced performance," not much fun between the actors. This second installment of the series was a far better movien in my opinion. There were lots of nods to each actor's particular "hallmark" movies/memes (like Arnold's "I'll be back," from the first Terminator movie, and Chuck Norris' having been bitten by a king cobra, and after 5 days of agonizing pain, the cobra died). This is not a "thinking" man's film, and it caters to the (red) meat-and-potato folks out there with bits of gore, over the top explosions, and guns...and cigars, and guns. Great action, from a great team of action stars as expected. It has a nice background story, as we see several of these aciton stars getting older, and it plays well in the overall story. Are you still reading this....you're kidding, right? GO WATCH THE MOVIE AND EAT RED MEAT! XD

This movie was very entertaining and quite violent. They didn't take themselves too seriously, which is what made the movie. Yes, there was some corny dialogue, but they way they incorporated almost all the major action movie starts from the past 30 years was highly enjoyable. The best thing was the one on one fight scene at the end, with a highly satisfying pairing, just like the first movie. By the way, the movie is predictable (just like the action movies of yore) but it's not like you're seeing it for the plot!

We enjoyed the first movie and thought the sequel was great too. The action started right at the start and kept on going. It was great to see all of the older action stars. Stallone and Willis being our favorites. When each new cameo came on it was great to see the older generation still had it!

The entire movie was so great to watch. The action scenes and suspense was off the chart. The entire cast did a remarkable job with their characters. With the movie casting some of Hollywood's Elite Veteran actors, this movie totally rocked. The dialogue was comedic and very funny. The movie was very enjoyable and amazing. Great Work!!

This movie was really fun to watch! Sure there we're many unrealistic moments. However, isn't that what movies are all about? Who wants to see reality (TV) on the big screen?
It was an action fans dream come true to see the colorful cast of super stars come together for this film! I would have liked to see more of Jet Li, but such is life (and the budget).
I was entertained, captivated, and thrilled from beginning to end. So who is going to be in part three? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Vin Diesel?
I wanna know?

As long as you realize you are watching an old school bangem up and blowem up movie, it is GREAT. LOVE the cameos, one liners, and of course effects! If you are looking for a good love story, go back to reading your books because this is not it! If you want action of another kind, this is it!

The movie starts off gunz blazing! The story is typical, but who cares! We want the action that made these actors' careers! Super funny dialogue! They share famous 'one liners'. Some special effects were obvious, but satisfying. Great balance of action & humor! And they're already making part 3! Awesome!!!

Enjoyed the first Expendables so I just had to see the seccond one and enjoyed it just the same. Lots of action and love the one liners... Highly recommend going and seeing this movie.
