I used to be a top 10 contributor on this movie review site, but since they went to the new format I don't even bother with it. I like the percentage other than the star format, with that said, this movie brought me out to review again, that's how good it is.
I dare you to leave the movie theater and not feel good after watching this one. Everyone in the theater was cheering and clapping at the end. Now the story is not going to win any academy awards and non of the actors will either but this is a great movie. All of the characters were great, and even though its not saying much, this is however Keven James best movie to date. He looked great in the movie too, was afraid he might end up another overweight personality we used to love that passed away too soon, but the boy almost looked thin at times. We took our son and his two friends for his birthday, my wife and I laughed all through it and even nearly got choked up at one part near the end when there was a touching moment between his students. Henry Winklers role was hilariouos, and who knew that Bas Rutten would steal the movie with how funny this former MMA star could be. I've not heard this movie even promoted that much, but it's hanging on in theaters by word of mouth, and trust me you will not be disappointed. Go see it if you want to laugh, and feel good.

My husband and 8 year old son saw this movie with a couple of their friends and all enjoyed it. My son says he liked it because it was funny and not too violent. It was a good movie for a father/son night out. My son says that he can't wait for it to come out on DVD so that he can watch it again. It was a "feel-good" movie. My husband really enjoyed the movie too.

Went out to see Argo initially and it was sold out for our time slot. Saw "Boom" instead and really thought it was an excellent movie. The movie was a pleasant surprise and exceeded my expectations. Kevin James is a favorite of mine. No regrets.

Here comes the Boom is a surprisingly great film. It has wonderful family values and respect for America. It is the perfect movie to take kids to see. It is so rare today to see a movie that can inspire everyone to be a better person.

A decent movie very funny and without all the swear words and obligatory T&A associated with R rated movies. I highly recommend this movie for the entire famile kids 8/9 and above would be fine.

Good family movie to take kids to. While there is some violence in the movie during the fight scenes, it is refreshing to see a movie where there is no foul language, and no nudity and explicit sexual innuendo. I do not feel like I am a prude, but, I do not feel that children need to see a lot of explicit sex and nudity in a movie, especially when it generally adds nothing to the story.
This story has a good theme and values rarely expressed in movies today.

I loved everything about this movie. The plot and delivery was flawless. The actors and actresses delivery was phenominal. We really experienced the highs and lows and became emotionally involved. A movie and it's actors and actresses that succeed in taking you on a temporary journey have truely surpassed all expectation:). This movie had no unecessary filth, nudity, violence,....etc. Often times we are subject to a mass of unecessary unwholesome displays to view a movie of some interest. I absolutely LOVED the praying and reference to Biblical Scripture;)! I would strongly recommend this production. Thank you to all.

My children ages 10 and 9 wanted to see this movie. I was pleasantly surprised. Laughed out loud numerous times and it was great to hear my children cracking up.

Standard Keven James movie. Lots of physical comedy and action, lots of good punch lines, and a good heart story. Salma Hayek was awesome as always and this was a new side of Henry Winkler. I enjoyed his role more than the one in Waterboy. Well written and well paced movie.
Good date movie when you can't decide between chic-flick and guy-movie. Also good for Pre-teen and up (10+). Youngers kids can see it with no ill-effects, but I don't think they'd follow the story or understand everything.

I enjoyed this movie. Good acting. I also enjoyed the involvement of actual UFC people in the movie. It's a must see for any UFC Fan. I do have one problem with the movie, however, I don't want to put any spoilers out here...so I won't go into details. Even so, I say go see this movie.

Critics' reviews were not so great, but my 10 year old son and I had a great time and lots of laughs with this movie. Sometimes you need a silly movie to lighten up and this did the trick! Was not expecting to be impressed and I was.

This movie far exceeded my expectations! It was funny, had a great plot and several other funny and entertaining sub-lots, the acting was top-notch and the fight scenes especially the last one was incredible. It was a real nail- biter. The movie makes you feel good and has lots and lots of HEART. It will not disappoint. Great family movie, great date movie. Check it!
