I went into this film with very low expectations, but I can enjoy a good B flick. However, what a cool story. Twists that are pulled from little known myths, or different perspectives on well known myths (storys/history).
Yes, there are some parts where you go "give me a break" and then you remember it's a story about killing vampires so you get to just enjoy it all.
I hope there are many more to follow.

I, like may others, thought this movie would be a complete blow. However, after watching it, I can attest to the exact opposite. The movie was very well laid out as well as perfectly suspenseful. I enjoyed a recap of Civil War history as well as the directors intentional taint with Vampire phenomenon. I think you'll be surprised at how much you'll enjoy this movie.

This was a decent movie. The special effects were great, even though it seemed quite outrageous. Storyline was decent if you hadn't read the book as they did not follow along the book much at all. Overall, it was okay.

Top notch action scenes with a few great plot twists and familiar actors, this movie really took me by surprise.
Nice blend of comic relief, nice integration of history and it even had its somber moments. Would definitely recommend.

Because I read the book and enjoyed it so, I have eagerly awaited the movie. While it necessarily compressed the story, it was an extremely fun and thrilling experience. My main misgivings were the jump through 20 years from Lincoln's marriage in 1841, and the Civil War. But, it remains a fun afternoon at the multiplex.
