This is the first Bond movie I have seen that had some emotion. And, I have seen them all. The back history on Bond was well done. Not to much mush but just enough to give the audience an idea of Bond being human not just a cheesy sercret agent or deadly assassin.

This movie was just full of unsatisfying plot holes. It is hard to describe them without giving away the story, but when watching you keep experiencing them. The Acting and tone are good, but the storyline is so thin it brings it all down and the special effects etc are just average for a movie nowadays.

good opening sequence action, then movie started to drag for about half an hour, good conclusion. Movie shows another side of James Bond...that of an aging agent who has lost a step or two in dealing with the bad guys. Overall good movie, but not great.

I really did not like the story line. The movie dragged for the first hour or so before the action really picked up. This was nothing like the first two james bond movies. I would not recommend this movie. However, to each there own.

I have no idea what this movie was! I am a Bond fan and love the classic Bond films up until the last film. Bond action was lacking other than the opening scene. No romance that even comes close to any of the prior Bonds! Bond always get a girl at the end. Missing! The gadgets, what the freak happened to the gadgets and the cool car! The classic car got the entire crowd to its feet almost...then they destroyed it! Very, very, very disappointed! And the evil villain ....come on......I'm not sure who is stating that this is "the best"? Come on people....heads should role for removing the classic lines and classic Bond gadgets, cars and sexy women
.....they need to do a serious postmortem with customers....

I loved Adele's Skyfall song. Can we say Oscar? A little slower moving than others, but wasn't an issue. M being the hunted was a brilliant move.
Javier Bardem was outstanding as the Villain. Craig and him played off of each other very well.

I believe this movie had the most gorgeous cinematography I'd seen all year. The light play, colors and camera work was truly stand-out good.
The plot was exciting and engrossing. It got back to Bond's roots while shedding much of the "Bourne" rip-off scenes of the past (a few notable scenes not withstanding). 60% espionage, 40% intense action. That's how it should be.
Despite the complaints, I actually enjoyed the villain. While admittedly underdeveloped, he fit the motif of rebirth and resurrection extremely well. Without spoiling anything, his stubborn insistence on having been betrayed and needing revenge is a stark contrast to a 007 who finds himself in an extremely similar situation in the beginning of the film but puts his duties to Queen and Country above any feelings of betrayal he may harbor.
Overall, this is my favorite of the Daniel Craig era films. I highly recommend it to Bond fans new and old. The older fans in particular will be thrilled at all of the references to Bond's past as well as the ending that, while a bit clunky, should leave them giddy and their franchise well prepared for many years to come.

Yes another Bond movie for the holidays.
The acting superb for the most part but the bad guy (Javier Bardem) was a little lacking in character development versus previous movies. Bond (David Craig) is your typical Bond in the eyes of Connery of past roles but not as womanizing as pervious movies.
This movie shows a more human side of Bond and that the others in the cast support the star well. Judi Dench as "M" is always superb as she has for many, many years.
Don't want to say too much and you should not find out too much of the plot and developing storyline and setup for the next movie in about 2-3 years from now.
Definite movie to see when you have almost 3 hours including all the coming attractions you have to sit through. Go see it...

I wont give too many details as some things are better left being seen at the theater, but I can tell you this is probably THE BEST 007 movie ever. It was so good. I did not even feel like the movie was that long because I was engrossed in the story. That is always a good sign for a long movie. I highly recommend seeing this in IMAX. The explosions seemed real and literally had people jumping in their seats from the rumble and sound. I really cant say enough about this movie. From the acting to the production. Everything was top notch. While not the best movie I have ever seen, It is very nice to see a great movie at the theaters once again with all the stuff Hollywood is putting out now. I definitely recommend this movie,

From the opening scenes of tough decisions and fast-paced chases, this film creates an exciting, tough,subtly clever, and occasionally well-timed humor that leads to a violent, whirlwind finale that is both satisfying and sad at the same time!!
This is a "transition" movie for the franchise both in style and in leadership for the "MI6" team!
With the "PG-13" rating, for violence mostly, this version is best suited for an elder teen and up and the true "Bond" fans who enjoy a 2 hour plus film that is a genuine thrill from beginning to end!!

Typical, fun James Bond movie! I liked the actors, found them to suit the characters that they played. Liked how they set it up for a series of "older James" movies. Hope that the Scottish caretaker character continues to be a part of the series--but he really needs a Scottish accent!

Loved, loved this 007 !!!
Twists and turns, more acting and real plot. Not much use of funky gadgets, rather return to pure basics, spying and sleuthing! Some surprise encores from the past are nicely worked in.
Some visuals are breathtaking, and whomever thought Shanghai was still teaming with bicycles, think again!
Dame Judi Dench, Daniel Craig et all were great and to top if off, loved Javier Bardem in his quirky villain role. As I said, twits & turns abound...
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons generic song not grabbing

This Bond movie was more focused on story than special effects. Only the opening chase scene was contrived. No invisible cars, or driving through a parking garage from the back seat using a game console. It was great to see Albert Finney, although his part was rather limited. I think Craig is a good Bond, so I hope they keep him for the next installment.

Opening chase scene amazing! Did not have the usual James Bond chemistry with his female counterparts. Interesting story line concerning Bond's family and his relationship with M.
Javier Bardem is one of the best Bond villians of all time, amazing acting.
