Watching Ghost Protocol in Imax enhanced an overworked franchise by giving it a shot of adrenaline. The site locations were impressive and the budget was enormous... but I am bored with seeing Tom Cruise in this role. He is not James Bond as he lacks the panache and believable cunning.

Check your brain at the door - this movie delivers exactly as advertised. The stunts are amazing, it seems as though all involved are having a great time, and it is catching. I was not sure what to expect. My wife could not remember the plot from the previous Mission Impossible movie. Mission Impossible Ghost Protocoal grabs you from the beginning. The story moves at a quick pace, but not so quick that you cannot follow the characters or the plot later. My wife was startled a bit by the sudden change in action. Like, (I hope I don't give anything away, but) the assualt on the SUV near the river or canal. Fast pace, never boring. Truly loved this Mission Impossible movie. I would recommend it to anyone who likes action thrillers.

This is probably the best MI movie after the first one. The Burj Khalifa scene was breathtaking!! Wasnt too happy wth Anil Kapoor's role as the Indian billionaire as he is one of the famous actors in India who has done roles similar to Tom Cruise in MI and can give him a run for his money.
Overall an exciting and fast paced movie that will def have me go for seconds!

Really enjoyed the movie, but the "IMAX" theatre I saw it in did not have a big IMAX screen so I paid more for what I think it probably looked like in a regular theatre. And why do they have to turn the sound up so high for an IMAX or a DIgitally Enhanced Movie? For any of you movie executives out there that might possibly see this review, I see a movie or two at the theatre every week, and I just want to say that I'm not a fan of all the 3D movies. The visual quality of these 3D movies always seem much less than their 2D versions, and much darker with the glasses on.

MI: Ghost Protocol should be the new default IMAX theater demo reel. The cinematography, stunts, and especially sound were simply jaw-dropping in that setting. It is definitely worth the extra buck or two versus a "regular" theater screening.
Story-wise, the film was a solid "meh." Despite the "Ghost Protocol" agency-disavowal reference, the carrying out of the mission is indistinguishable from any other installment. Unlike previous MI films, which portrayed all IMF agents as super-human and always-professional, MI:GP relied upon the timeworn device of the fate of the world being in the hands of a mis-matched band of misfits. The little band of IMF agents includes: the rookie, the revenge-obsessed lover, and the redemption-seeking fallen agent in addition to the bullet-proof Ethan Hunt.
Still, the story is funny, exciting, and in the best tradition of MI films, just confusing enough to keep you guessing. It's the "IMAX Experience" that elevates the film to the must-see category.

Ghost Protocol was the BEST MI EVER and the IMAX experience brought the viewer into the movie like I just couldn't believe. The action scenes were so intense, I'm sure I screamed out loud, well into my hands, more than once. When the camera panned over the desert it felt like I was really flying. Cruise is an ego-maniac of the worst order. He stars and produces this film and in it he plays super-agent, Ethan Hunt, who usually accepts impossible missions despite the choice he is always given to decline them. What's tough to swallow is that he's immortal. What else would you call a man who can outrun explosions, dodge flying cars, glide and jump like a super hero, and take all manor of physical punishment that would easily kill even Batman. He does all of this in stride and moves on to the next scene. This is the same character, or at least actor, who took hundreds of bullets while riding into battle in the movie The Last Samurai -- or at least the same egomaniac. Despite Cruise's antics and obvious self-direction, this movie is worth seeing. there are plenty of action sequences that are unlike anything we've seen in a movie before. The story is as ridiculous as they were in the previous MI movies, but that's okay. Popcorn is required for this film. Just know that Cruise thinks he's immortal and he controls the money behind the show and you'll enjoy some of the more ridiculous action sequences where he's portrayed as being god-like and immortal.

Though this involves amazing action, sometimes so much of action doesn't help movie. Movie tries to spoil image of Indian people. Overall, movie is worth of watching only once.

Enjoyed our IMAX experience with Ghost Protocol; the sound wrapped around us all and made the movie even that more fun. Very good addition to the Mission Impossible series of movies; I liked the third one and Ghost Protocol the best. Especially enjoyed the way the MI theme kept recurring in the movie's score ... really nice call backs to the original tv series that way.

Great to view in IMAX; the sound is remarkable as it should be the increase in price. Good story line with a whole bunch of chase scenes and intense moments. Our evening showing was sold out !!!
