To borrow another movie title, that is! Big on adrenaline, aerial tracking shots of Dubai, and LOUD LOUD bombast of a soundtrack, director JJ Abrams for all his skill just cannot seem to get a real scene outta these actors or a script that ever really surprises. Sorry, Tom Cruise, but you are way too studied to ever feel real to me (though he is aging nicely, which helps). This film keeps you on the edge of your seat but you'll end up with a raw butt, rumbling eardrums and very little payoff -- the couple in jeaporady survive. OK. Not worth $30 but thanks! JJ did his thing in the editing room, that's for sure (it's exciting, quick). But whatta I know? PS: Our tiny "IMAX" screen was a joke, they really should look at how they use that name.

As far as most action movies go, this one was action packed and kept you excited the entire movie. I watched it in iMax which made the action better; however, they must have activated the "no damage" cheat somehow. Falls from deadly heights. Impacts and trauma that should have rendered most of the cast in a coma very early in the movie...but just like the teminator...they just kept shaking it off and moving forward. Sometimes action movies would be better if they less super human.

The action in this movie was phenomenal. I was on the edge of my seat most of the movie. If you are looking for anything realistic, this is probably not your movie. The characters take blows to the head that would turn their brain into mush, but they are hardly phased. There is a lot of this in this movie, but MI movies are known for that. Story was just okay. It wasn't like the last Rambo movie where there was no story at all; it was just kind of so so. You walk away from the movie remembering the action and sound, not the story. But it was definitely better than the last MI where a helicoptor flies through a tunnel.

I am not a Tom Cruise fan, but I still though this was a pretty awesome movie. Plenty of nail biting action. I just wish I had seen it in 3D. Simon Pegg steals the show with his goofy personality, and adds some much needed tension release once in a while. Good movie overall.
I saw this at an AMC that claimed to be "IMAX", but it wasn't much different from a regular screen. Not worth the extra 5 dollars in my opinion.

The thing I loved best about this move is that the females were hard core. Liked that they were feminine but could do some damage. Tom's stunts were incredible, story line moved and there was humor. Gotta love that!

I couldn't believe the stunts Tom Cruise did himself. That alone was worth watching the movie!! Stunning scenes, wonderful camera work, breathtaking stunts, good story, great characters and non stop action.
This is the real deal.
Go see it! Better yet, see it on IMAX. I told my fiance' at least 3 times during the movie and after I was so GLAD we saw in IMAX and he agreed!
Pay the extra couple of dollars and see IMAX.

Took my grandsons to this movie, though it is not my usual first choice movie genre. The IMAX experience and photography were both stunning. Many scenes were great because of IMAX and I would have rated this movie four stars if seen on a standard screne.

When 98 percent of the people like a movie, how much more is there to say? Ghost Protocol is probably my second-favorite of the Mission Impossible quartet. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was unforgettable as the villian in MI3. So if I had a minor criticism of Ghost, it was that the bad guy was nothing special. What was special was seeing this in IMAX and the great geography lesson built into the movie. Budapest to Moscow to Dubai to Mumbai - what a tour de force of sights. Every movie needs an inside joke, and this one had it. The engraving inside the poison prick ring was A113 - which appears in every Pixar film (even though this wasn't a Pixar film) But director Brad Bird of Incredibles fame obviously couldn't let go of the signature.

Tom Cruise turned in another good addition to the franchise. Film had a consistent pace of strong action scenes. The entire sequence in Dubai, in particular when he is climbing the building was great on IMAX. All in all would definitely recommend this film as it offers what you expect in the franchise: fast pace action, high tech gadgetry and style to go with it.

This movie is what movies are meant to be, entertaining, engaging and you care about the characters. Tom Cruise is great and so is the rest of the cast. The relationships are believable and real. I love that things go wrong and they have to improvise. This makes the film even more believable and the stunts are incredible. Between the exotic locations and the amazing stunts, you will not be able to tear your eyes from the screen.
