If you're one of those jerks that do nothing but, complain about scary movies you should just stay at home. We saw the midnight show & it was completely packed. From the 1st scary scene people were on edge pretty much the whole movie with a nice twist. Definitely a great experience with someone who scares easy & a packed house

This was the scariest of the three. Many people told me that the last 15 minutes would change my life...and it definitely did. Based on the level of suspense/scariness the movie gets a 5 stars..but because of the misguided previews it loses 2 stars.
There were many parts left out. Crissy jumping from the wall. Crissy throwing water on her imaginary friend. The girls playing bloody Mary. The priest getting his head bashed into the table. The mom getting thrown into the bedroom. Crissy knocking on the mirror and it knocking back. But overall it was a good movie. It scared me!

Once you've seen the first two you know what to expect but they always get you with the timing of their scares. The twist at the end was pretty good and overall it had some pretty creepy scenes.

If I hadn't seen the previews for this movie, then I may have given this 4 stars. Unfortunately the trailers for the film are completely misleading because about 90% of what's in the trailers is not in the film. There were many scenes that were left out, to the point where the movie barely ties in to part of the storyline where the girls talked about how their house burned down. Even the burning of the house is shown in the trailers, but it's not in the movie. The scene where the demonologist talks about how the house isn't safe and his head is bashed into the table isn't there. The scene where the wife is thrown into the bedroom from the doorway isn't there. The scene where the little girl jumps off the second story wall isn't there either. Also the part where both the little girls play bloody mary isn't in there either. Also, the whole premise where a shadow is seen in the poster, and in the trailers doesn't even show up in the movie. I have a big feeling there's going to be a big uproar about how the trailer for the movie completely misrepresented what was actually shown in theaters.

Paranormal Activity 3 followed the same theme as the other two. This was really the first since it was set in 1988 and really brought light to why everything was happening.You DO NOT need to see the first two to understand what is going on. I believe this was the scariest of the 3 and will keep you on the edge of your chair for most of the movie.
The only issue I had with it is the ending, but I will let you decide for yourself.
I recommend seeing this movie with someone who gets scarred easily as this will make the movie much more enjoyable.

Considering other horror series which, peak with their first release and fade with each subsequent film, Paranormal Activity is certainly a wonderful exception to that rule, with each film being equally good or better than its' predecessor. Paranormal Activity has delivered yet, another a stellar performance with its' third installation. I would recommend this film to anyone who's a horror buff or simply a fan of the series. With brilliant special effects and unexpected scares delivered with great intensity, it's sure to appease the appetite of any fan who eagerly awaited its' release. The surprise ending added a more interesting dynamic to the story. It also, left me longing to know more. The sudden introduction and abrupt exit of the grandmother left me longing to know more about her and to get a greater sense for her character. I feel her involvement with the story and main characters was distant and slightly disconnected. The purpose of the malevolent entity featured in all three films is still without explanation. The question of how it came to be is made quite clear, but why has yet, to be answered. Despite the nagging questions, I still rated it 4 of 5. Job well done.
