Read the review in Wall Street Journal and the critic who is really tough said he loved it. Had plans for a movie nite with my wife and a coworker and figured I might be able to earn points for taking her to a chick flick and still have a good time. I was laughing out loud through most of the movie. Other women in the theatre were howling and snorting as well. Even with all the outrageous humor it still had a charming story. BEWARE ALL MALE LOSERS WHO MISTREAT THE LADIES.....this story outs to all some of those male losers who prey on sweet women who may be insecure or needy. Sure two hrs long but the time flys. Don't miss this one....

I was a little worried at the 2 hour length - that's often a bit long. But director Paul Fieg takes that time to help you invest in the characters. It's raunchy, but it has heart - typical of a Judd Apatow production. If you liked The 40 Year-Old Virgin, you'll be right at home here. There was some excellent physical comedy too, which I was surprised to find myself liking!

This is the funniest movie of year (& I see'em all). Guys will bust a gut and girls will have mascara trails long before the "we do" in this flick.Bridesmaids starts out with little sexual booty (for which some senior citizens were ready to exit) but luckily they stayed for the hysterics. The chief gives this 4 1/2 feathers.

Rolling In Seats Laughing Out Loud! Great news, the trailers don't even begin to show the number of hysterical moments in this movie. Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph are terrific in the leads, and Rose Byrne brings an unexpected level of humor but Melissa McCarthy absolutely steals the show in my opinion. The audience was a full house and at times the laughter was so loud I missed some dialogue. The food poisoning scene in the very fancy bridal shop has a couple of 'graphic' moments more suited for a frat boy movie, just a warning to any sensitive folk, but it's just one scene in a very funny and at times thoughtful take on female friendships and how hard it can be to merge childhood bf's with the friends we meet as adults. I need the DVD!!

This wasn't as good as hoped. Too much forced sexuality stuff that just didn't add value to the movie. Way too much use of the F word that provided no value. There were some funny moments, and I actually wanted more storyline with the cop and bridesmaid. If I had to decide on spending $22 for me and another or waiting for rental, I'd wait for rental.

Loved it--very funny and not as gross as most Judd Apatow movies. Actually has good meaning about making good choices, healthy relationships, etc. Hysterical and "real" dialogue between women. Kristen Wiig is fantastic--as are all the gals. Especially loved the "fat bridesmaid"--funniest role for a woman in a very long time.

I have watched several movies this year, Thor, Fast Five, Source Code, etc. and this topped them all. Yes I am a guy who wanted to see this movie so badly. Turns out it came out the day after my wifes and I anniversary (12th) and worked out well for date night. The whole theater was laughing throughout the movie until it got to some tender parts (very few). It is one of the best comedies ever and I highly recommend everyone see it.

but could have been great. Missed the mark by just a little on being a great film. Several scenes were hysterical, but they missed the opportunity to have one more really funny scene. It would have been perfect then. I agree it is similar to The Hangover, but for women. The Meagan character by far and away steals this movie. She is a hoot! I would have loved to see a bachelorette party scene though - disappointed about that. It was weird because the trailers on TV and the movie were different in several scenes. I guess they edited it a little more before the final cut. Unfortunately, I was looking forward to some of the scenes from the trailer and they were missing. And...this movie just screamed for bloopers at the end of the movie. Really wished they would have shown us some. But, overall, some good laughs.

This movie was by far the funniest movie I have seen in a very long time! I saw a sneak preview of it with my sister two weeks ago, and we are still sending quotes to eachother! The best way to describe it is that its as funny (or funnier) than The Hangover, but tailored towards women. Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph are extremely funny (especially the dance sequence at the end) however Melissa McCarthy was a breakout star, and left me gasping for air amid the gut busting laughter. The trailers just don't do the movie justice. I cant wait to go see it again!
