I enjoyed the dark characters and the turn of events. I was left wanting more and then I found out that this was the first in a trilogy and now I can't want until next summer when the other 2 come out. I enjoyed watching Kristin in a new role and Hemsworth was a great Huntsman, Theron played a very good evil queen. Overall I was very entertained throughout the movie and this is definitely one of my favorites this year!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

Great movie for all! Even for those who aren't currently Kristen Stewart fans! This is one of her best movies ever! Charlize Theron as the queen showed more character depth than most of her other movies!

Thought the movie was great. Had mystery, intrigue, action, and suspense. Charlize Theron was incredible as the evil queen. Stuck between dilusional and psychotic. It was awesome. Wanted a little more at the end but would still highly recommend it.

Kristen Stewart is mis-cast as the heroine in this film, which is a shame. She's dull dull dull - no charisma what-so-ever. I found myself rooting for the evil queen in the end (go Charleze!) But there are lots of other actors with personality to make the movie worthwhile. Great action and fabulous art direction and special FX.
I DO recommend it.

The film has the DNA of a blockbuster and the soul of a haunting folk tale. It is as dangerous, dark, intelligent and beautiful as its wraithlike villainess. Theron turns a stock character into a memorably sinister mix of scorned gold digger and plastic surgery addict. It takes a lot more than a pail of water to wipe out this wicked witch. This isn't your parents' or grandparents' version of the familiar tale, and anyone mistakenly taking their young kids to see it and expecting more of the same old Disney magic are certain to be surprised. It gets closer to the spirit of the Brothers Grimm than any previous Hollywood movie. Disneyfied, it is not. Overall I had fun with it, but no, Kristen Stewart is not fairer than Charlize Theron. FANTASY. A must see.
