Charleze T has just enough crazy and gorgeous to BE the wicked queen; and Snow White isn't the one in the fairy tales; she was actually pretty good particularly in the ending. Wonderful special effects; love the queen's costumes; too bad SW had to wear the same grubby garment the entire time. The huntsman needed a hair wash badly! Other than that loved the forest of light, Just a fun movie.

This might be good to for talking your girlfriend to. I found it extremely slow and the acting was pretty bad. The fight scenes are few and far between. First movie that I ever wanted to walk out on half way through,

I saw this movie yesterday with my dad and brother. We all loved it. What a great take on a classic story. I loved the larger role that the huntsman has, and whose kiss actually saves her. All the main cast were fantastic.

Excellent all around. The acting was great. It was a different and unique role for Charlize, and she pulled it off great.
The special effects were super, and ran through the whole film.
This is NOT a Disney type production to bring kids to. It has parts that would make kids have nightmares.
Well worth the money.... assuming you go to a theatre that doesn't ask you to sign a mortgage note to buy the ticket.

The whole story was skirted around and the directing was weak.. The director had actors and actresses that had a big name, so he left it at that. There wasn't any character development and Snow White was left to act pitiful throughout the entire movie. There wasn't any "& The Hunstman" except that he was running around acting ignorant.
I wouldn't wouldn't recommend Dbox either, unless you just want to be annoyed the entire movie.
Over all, not a pleasant nor entertaining experience.

This film is visually stunning w/ great special effects that bring out the ghost-demonic dimensions of the story most of us first heard as 'Snow White & the 7 Dwarves.' Charlize Theron deserves an Oscar nomination for her role as the vampiric evil Queen who is sucking the life out of a medieval kingdom. Her character transformations use her skills as an accomplished actress. Kristen Stewart's 'Snow White' is a fusion of 'Mother Mary Queen of Heaven' (she prays the Lord's Prayer during her imprisonment) & Joan of Arc. Mary (Snow White) as 'Co-Redemptrix of creation' symbolism is powerful, esp. at the end. R. Catholic, Orthodox, & Muslim viewers will appreciate this use of religious symbolism in mainstream media. But the film has a very 'WHITE' (Euro-American; Scotch-Irish; Gaelic) story-world of characters: only one actor of color shows up, he's on the side of evil, & is killed in combat. Given the setting in the Middle Ages (about the time of the Crusades), I was looking for greater diversity in the people groups represented. Some fighting Turks, Kurds, or Arab-world characters on the side of good would have added a dimension of complexity to the story, as Kevin Costner did in his film version of 'Robin Hood' with Morgan Freemans's character, the Muslim physician. One historical note: when Snow White's father King Magnus / Magus weds the evil Princess he liberates from an army of magical illusionary forces, we hear pipe organ music at the wedding. Pipe organs as we know them did not exist in the early or middle Medieval times. A monastic or cathedral choir would be have been in touch with the times depicted in the story - world. The film had an expert on mythology who was consulted, a Dr. Bill Gray (sp?) but he must have overlooked this. Finally, Kristen Stewart's physical image and facial poses are striking as usual, but can she act out a more complicated range of emotions? I would have cast an actress from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, Australia, or Nova Scotia in Snow White's role, e.g., Sarah McLachlan if she were more of an actress. You may get the idea. Kristen Stewart still comes across on the screen as an American young woman playing a mythic-medieval role. Charlize Theron can pull this off as an actress, but Kristen Stewart still needs some time to emerge into these major roles she's been given by her producers / directors. Final SUM: This film is worth seeing twice, esp. for the actors who play the heroic dwarves.

SWATH was honestly so well done. The acting was amazing and the special effects really brought the movie to life. Kristen Stewart definetely brought on her best acting skills; she was incredibly badass which tortally suited her. A job well done!!

Overall - a very good movie. Entertaining and a very interesting take on the old fairy tale. The overall contrast, videography, and special effects of the movie were well done and stimulating. Each actor/actress did a good job in the role they were cast. I enjoyed the way all the key elements from the story were incorporated into the movie - not the way I expected.
The movie felt long until the end when the action made me forget about the length. There were some periods of time in the movie where I felt I'd like to know what other characters were doing, and there were some emotional scenes where I was left wondering what emotion the actor/actress was trying to portray and why.

I was expecting a better interaction between the characters.
Lots of action and special effects but no real connection between the characters.
Hemsworth was GREAT in this movie! Theron was AWESOME!
Stewart was ridiculously out of her league and pitiful.

Of course, most of us have read or seen this movie as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was interesting how the dwarfs were entered into the movie and other fantasy perspectives.
It is not a very subtle movie.
