Loved the movie, loved the twist of who broke the spell! Would go see it again, will definiteley be buying the dvd when it comes out!! Chris Hemsworth is hot!! and Charlize Theron is beautiful! Kristen Stewart has come a long way since the first twilight movie!

I enjoyed the spin on this childhood story. I thought the movie was well done and the time flew by. The actors performed well, but in my view Charlize Theron out performed her peers, but she has more experience. Overall, I would recommend it.

Charlize Theron was amazing in this, but the casting was not the best. Kristen Stewart was not the best selection for this - I know they were probably trying to recreate parts from Twilight with her, but they could have done better. Her dialogues were lacking a lot. She did really good in part others not so good. Thor - well that guy is a god hard to see him like this. No chemistry between him and Kristen.
Having saying that we did enjoy. It was most unusual Snow White dark ages is a description that might be used. Some of the women had the most unusual hair styles, and I liked their strength.
Pros well paced, great story, charlize was fantastic

Snow White and the Huntsman was visually fantastic!! But the dialog was really boring and drug the movie down!!! Hopefully for the sequel they will get new screenwriters!! I would definitely see the sequel because the actors are so interesting (Charlize, Kristen, and Chris!!!) - and crossing my fingers for a better script!!!!

I really enjoyed Snow White and the Huntman. The costumes were beautiful, both the dark and light parts of the film had the right feel for a fairy tale without feeling cheesy. I would definitely recommend it and would see it again.

but an excellent rendition of the story. It was closer to the Grimm brothers original tale than the sickly-sweet depictions of Snow White. Yes, she's innocent, but she is not some little fluff-head who walks through a forest singing. She is human, she feels, and she has a destined path. The evil queen is VERY evil, and plausibly undefeatable. Go see this movie, but think twice about taking younger children, as some of the dark forest scenes are pretty intense.

Fun effects, Familiar storyline
Theron was wicked as the wicked queen - needed more dialogue
Poor Chris Hemsworth - he needs another role that DOESNT having him swinging a weapon and wallowing in dirt.
Kristen Stewart - the girl can't act her way out of a paper bag.

I think I would have enjoyed the movie but with only four rows between me and the screen I was amazed that three different people were texting on their cell phones. The light created in the dark theater made it very difficult to enter into the movie as and experience, rather than watching television at a bar. One individual in front and to my right spent the majority of the movie watching the the IPhone screen rather than the movie. When are theaters going to enforce the rules they advertise about no texting??? It was a wasted night and wasted money and when I tried to file a formal complaint with the manager, guess what, he couldn't be found in the building! Small comfort for the cost of seeing a movie and something I'll consider before returning to a Clearview Theater.

I thought the film did not have enough time to connect the audience with the characters, and the overall character development needed help. The acting was sometimes rough, especially the dialogue from the evil queen, she seemed ridiculous at times.

I liked it, visually was beautifully made. the acting was good, I felt like Theron might have been trying a little bit too much. Hemsworth' s voice was weird, wasn't as strong as I expected. And then, Stewart..... she did a good job as much as she could, but being Snow White, either Disney's or Brother's Grimm Snow White, I think she should had been a softer spoken, sweet looking actress that can deliver the strength and courage that the princess needed to "lead" that army. Kristen is a good actress but not very versatile unfortunately.
To me the movie looked beautiful but was very superficial in regards of the story. I wanted to know more about where the Huntsman was coming from, a deeper story of the queen... of the dwarfs, what the hell was that white deer. I didn't love the mirror portrayal, but that is just my opinion.

Movie is kind of slow. I kept waiting for something to happen. There were a few action sequences, but they were few and far between. The story line didn't hold up very well. There was a promising twist to the tale, but it didn't pan out. Snow White should either have been a strong courageous figure from the start, or through her adventures, found a strenght within her. Her character was never developed. Her big dramatic speech near the end was overacted. The love interest in the movie was confusing. The relationship between the guy you would have wanted her to be with didn't materialise. There was just a hint at a relationship with one of the heroes of the movie. Either it was not done well, or it is the cliff hanger for a sequel. There are some good special effects.

Fantastic movie! Special effects were great, and the faeries were super cute! Camera-work was a tad shaky at times though, made me a little motion sick.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long while It had a bit of everything: action, adventure, romance, intrigue, beautiful cinematography and costumes, and excellent performance by Charlize Theron. The only problem I could find with it at all was the lack of dialogue by Kristen Stewart. There were times, especially during the final scene, when I kept wishing she would just say something. Instead, the audience was met was sheer silence and a gaze off into the distance.
Pros well paced, great story, visual effects, costumes
Cons lacked dialogue

I was so excited to see this movie, and i was so dissappointed i wasted almost 2 hours of my life to see it. The previews looked amazing, and it's one of those movies where they shows all of the good stuff in th previews. The parts everyone was waiting to see lasted maybe 30 seconds. The movies just dragged on, and on. This is probably the worst movie i've ever seen.

Wasted my money and time. Since the movie is pretty true to the story, it should have been made for the age 8 and under. Nothing thrilling or entertaining for the 15+ age group. Charlize did her job as a great actress but should have stayed away from this script. This movie is just not in the league to employ her name.

First off - Charlize Theron was down right evil and SO AWESOME at it! Bravo Charlize!! Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman was fantastic, a tortured soul looking for a way out of his own personal pain. And I loved all of the dwarves and would have like to have seen even more of them. Stellar CGI for them and far more could have been done with that. They added the punches of humor the story needed to keep it from becoming totally morose. All this and the special effects/art direction are the reason I'm giving this movie 4 stars.
Kristen Stewart on the other hand, was kind of hard to get behind as Snow White. It was a lot of her staring at the world around her, not speaking and when she did speak, it felt like that 'stammering teenager angst' from the Twilight series that tends to drive me up a wall. Yes, I get that she's dealing with an evil queen and the world she knows turning into a living hell, but really? One would think a princess with such a good heart would have understood by this time, that the queen wants her dead. Maybe it was the editing of her part, or maybe it's just her acting skills, but I had a hard time rooting for her - and I wanted to - but I rooted for the Huntsman, Prince William and dwarves far more easily.
I had wanted to see this movie because it was more in line with the Brothers Grimm version and the special effects looked spectacular. I wasn't disappointed in either of these aspects, though it seemed as though the story dragged at points and the ending seemed to lack something... a lot of something for me. In fact, kind of felt cheated in the way it ended and I think that's why I came away from it kind of, okay - it was good, and I'm glad I saw it on the big screen to get the full effect of the power behind what the story is trying to say, but for me, I won't see it again until it hits cable.

I feel that the casting could have been better for Snow White opposed to Kristen Stewart. I would have liked to have seen a newcomer and more attractive young lady for this role.
I also felt that the storyline focused too much on Charlize Theron's obsession
with remaining beautiful.

I thought the movie was good. I woudln't pay to see it again but will probably buy it when it comes out on blu-ray. The story did go a bit slow, I would have liked to have seen more action. I liked the plot and the way it was the same fairy tale you've always known but with twists. I did like the casting, and the special effects but like I said before the story line was a little slow.
