Enjoyed the movie. I can't seem to seperate Kristen Stewart from Twighlight, I kept waiting for vampires to show up. lol! She will probably be typecast into the Bell role forever, to me. Of course for me Chris Hemsworth did it all!

I must admit I didn't think much of Kristen Stewart's acting ability in all of the Twilight movies (though I'm still a fan of the movies). She always seems rather one-dimensional in her emotion and approach. In this movie when she tried to play something other than the victim (in other words, the tough warrior) it just didn't ring true. As a result the final scenes of the movie which should have been climatic and powerful were weak and never really gave the viewer the "WOW" factor these scenes should have shown.
Oh and whoever devised those shredded metal warriors in the end should be fired.... Just didn't really work either.

Ok, so I'll be honest. I really didn't want to go watch this movie for I am NOT a fan of the twilight girl and this movie still did not change my mind about her. However, I was pleasantly surprised after this film. It was much darker and violent than I anticipated. Charlize Theron plays one hell of a wicked witch and the special effects and art direction were spot on. (ie the troll and the dark forest scenes.) As a amateur film maker I love movies that actually put thought into the "feel" of the movie. Awesome take on a classic, not meant for little kiddos under 12.

Taking a well know story and challanging the existing paradigm to a wonderfully refreshing return to true story telling. This thoroughly thought out film not only brings it closer to the original Brothers Grimm,but creates a (fairly) believable villainess with a truely tragic background. This film is certainly not a Disney film, and younger audiences should be considered carfully before seeing this excellently dark reimagining of a classic if not epic story.

this movie is made to not feel like a fairy tale, it was actually really good. I enjoyed it a lot. It was surprising that they could make a movie like Snow White feel like it was made for adults.

I couldn't think of a better title...
However, I just got out of SWATH, and it wasn't bad. Not amazing, but not bad. The costumes and scenery were what kept my attention mostly. The acting... eh, it was okay. K-stew just doesn't do it for me, so watching her try to be all innocent yet powerful was weird. Charlize played a damn good evil queen though. The movie had some slow parts and should have been a little shorter, but it's a timeless classic that was done not too shabby for the 21st century.

I just got home from taking my wife to watch this movie. It starts out giving you hope that this could really be a Good movie, but after about the first 2 mins it slows way down. There are a few very good action scenes but other than that it's a snoozer until the last 10 mins of the movie. My ribs are kinda sore from my wife poking me and telling me to stop snoring. The acting was Great, the special effects were outstanding but the movie itself all in all is way too slow. If you are planning to go see this movie let me wish you good night now because once you sit down and the movie starts it'll be too late. Let the snoring begin.

Is it wrong of me that I felt the role of the queen was the most fully protraied character in the movie while snow white was dead last even below dwarves. Several characters were people I would like to know more about, snow white not so much (I keep thinking to my self hurry up and get her off the screen and move on to someone else). Overall I enjoyed the movie just felt snow white could have been better protraied .

This was a good movie. It portrayed the beauty & power that women possess. It also had a good blend of action, it was poetic and had fantasy elements- making this not just a chick-flick. I preferred Kristen Stewart in this role instead of Twilight. I think Charlize Theron really stole the show in this movie. The ending was kinda flat but oh well...

My god. This movie was AWFUL! I'm completely serious. If this movie some how avoids being on the top 10 worst films of 2012 of any critic, meaning there are 10 movies worse than this, I will have myself committed. Nothing works in this movie. Kristen Stewart never changes expressions, the villain is annoyingly over the top, and it takes itself too darn seriously. I knew going into this it was going to be dumb, but I thought it was going to be ridiculously stupid not depressingly stupid. Exactly like the Twilight books. The only actor who puts in a decent performance is Chris Hemsworth, but the writing was still crap. And that was the biggest problem; the writing. It is boring, uninspired garbage that brings shame to everyone involved. And the entire Dark forrest is just padding. Then again, with out it, the movie would be only 45 minutes long, with credits. I give the cinematographer some credit, the camera was the best part. So, in conclusion, I hate this movie and I hope in burns.

This is a very different interpretation of Snow White than the Disney version. We enjoyed it and thought it was good. We would NOT reccommend taking kids or young teenagers to it. It was very dark. Charlize Theron did a great job as the evil queen. She rocked!! The acting was mediocre, but overall the movie was well directed and the actions sequences were great!!!
Pros well paced, great story

Despite seeing previews it was "darker" than expected. Charlize Theron is outstanding, Kristin Stewart does an ample job as Snow White. This movie has quite a bit of violence and some downright creepy moments, but it didn't tip the scales on too-much to overshadow the plot. Didn't want the movie to end.

Awkward script. Beautifully shot, good casting, but the story itself is hugely lacking. It seemed like they took the best parts of other movies and threw them together. No real substance. No WOW factor. A bit of a dud. I give it a C-
It was hard to watch at times I became increasingly aware I was sitting in a movie theater instead of being absorbed in the movie. The movie did a poor job of keeping you engaged.

We saw most of "Snow White and the Huntsman." The movie is about a woman that had been aging hundreds of years and still looked the same. Which is how we felt as we left the theater. It wouldn't be fair to review it because it may have redeemed itself in the last 40 minutes, after we walked out. Kristen Stewart is lifeless and charisma-deficient. I had thought she had been enacting the angst of her character in the Twilight series but apparently she can suck the life out of whatever scene she's in.
Charlize may have felt the need to double her efforts so Kristen looked less lifeless, but the result is overblown even for a fairy tale evil queen.
I remember now why fairy tales are read to kids when we want them to sleep.

I thought this movie was amazing. The story flowed together wonderfully. Kristen Stewart is a wonderful and moving actress. She played the role of Snow White extremely great. She can make you feel what the character is feeling through her acting. Chris Hemsworth, he was the best choice to play the huntsman. He made the look of the huntsman. He is powerful even when he is doing a sad part. Charlize Theron played her part to the mark. She kind of stole the show when she came on screen as the Queen. She has a powerful skill that shows through her acting. All together the movie was wonderful. I loved every part of it. I would definitely recommend this movie to my friends and family and already plan on buying it when it comes out on DVD.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, very moving
