A very good movie. With a ton of action. On the graphic side for sure. A romantic story line running thru it for us girls.
"Be careful what you wish for", thats because as in one of the main characters, he is a little bored with life but that soon changes when his house guest arrives.

Below are the actual accounts of cuss words in the movie. And it is perf accurate. We will not sit thru the use of GD or any form.

Oh please not another boring car chase that has to try and out due another movies car chase. Their were so many holes in this movie and of course dead bodies all over the place. It’s the same old boring plot of the bad guys chasing the good guys. Half way through this movie I was ready to pack it in especially after the scene when Denzel is taken away in hand cuffs and sure enough in the next scene he reappears in a police uniform. Please I can’t take this type of movie any more.

Safe House was good from beginning to end. It was fast paced but easy to follow. Denzel and his supporting actor did an excellent job. I thought it was also realistic. If you like action movies this is a must see.

The premise of this movie is old hat. CIA chasing 2 operatives to cover the tracks of internal scandal. The attempts at action are long, drawn-out car chases and overly scripted fight scenes. seems like this guy rarely makes a bad movie and Ryan Reynolds continues to shed the tweenie roles that he has clearly outgrown. Non Stop Action PEOPLE...don't know how anyone could give this one a bad review and frankly can't believe the positive feedback is not in the 90% range. I really am starting to think that only people who hate movies are leaving reviews, but this story line had twists and turns and when you think you have it figured out then it shocks you with another twists. Is this a new story type? No but it's a great movie, great acting, great action and actually worth the money to see.

This CIA thriller is full of adrenaline charged action and chases. Unlike the Bourne thrillers, the main characters are not killing machines. They are good but they make mistakes and learn. The acting and directing are excellent. At times it can be dizzying as you try to follow the speed of the action. The story is a little different and that's what makes it work. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good spy thriller with lots of action.

This is one of the best movies I've seen this year. Denzel has always been a good actor. The villain was not easy to determine. It did have a little too much action as in fighting, shooting and blood. Otherwise, you will stay glued to your seat and want to hear every word they say in order to keep up.

Saw this movie last night with my Husband. We both thought the movie was excellent. I was worried that Ryan Reynolds wouldn't play the part well, but he did pretty good. As usual, Denzel Washington was superb! There was a plot and the only disappointment was the ending. Would see it again. Denzel does every movie so well. He can pretty much play any part. Too much action, not enough plot. None of the characters were ever developed. I found myself not caring if any of them lived or died. I also didn't care if the "secret" got out.
Chemistry was also a problem. I felt none between Denzel and Ryan, none between Ryan and his girlfriend. It was a cast of individuals rather than a group.
There was no comic relief at all. There were good opportunities for a little chuckle but they were ignored. One funny line near the end was not enough. The movie took itself way too seriously.

I saw this movie last night with my hubby. It turned out to be really good even though I was sceptical based on some reviews I read beforehand. I do kind of agree that I wished the ending had a little more to it but I don't regret paying to see it or anything. My biggest worry beforehand was that it would be "over the top" with the action because some people said that in their reviews but I liked it (and I know a movie thats trying to hard when I see one). Go see it. Its just as good as any other Denzel movie :)

The premise is excellent, but unfortunately the story and characters never really developed. All four in our group agreed that there was too much action and not enough real intrigue. You know who that bad guy is early on.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
