I think for me, the fact that this is based on a true story - which I read prior to seeing the movie - it made the movie seem less than a cookie cutter predictable romance story. Channing was good, better than I expected and Rachel was great in her role, but I would only recommend it to real romance movie fans.

I saw this movie on Valentines Day. I was hoping for a nice romantic movie but it was not as mushy mushy as I thought it would be. Anyways it is what I call a "feel good movie" Not the best I've seen but still a good movie.

I liked the movie overall and it had some moments that really made me cry but even though it was based on real events they should have put their own twist onto it. I felt like the movie dragged on and i lost interest a few times but it is a good movie.

Ok, first of all, when I go to watch a movie I always pay attenton the acting. The acting by McAdams was good and I have to say that Tatum is getting better. Ever since I saw G.I. Joe I was like why are they giving him all the roles. I understand that you have to have a look (I guess) but man he could have invested in a good acting coach. All that aside the movie would be an excellent date movie. The acting is pretty good, but I think the story could have a bit more flow to it. It did seem to jump from scene to scene but the comical relief is what kept me interested. Although not a great movie, it is entertaining and I would recomment it to friends and others.

My husband and I saw this movie together and we both enjoyed it. It's now on my list of favorite love stories next to The Notebook. It held our attention the whole time and is a little bit of a tear jerker. If you are into romance-go see it! If not, don't :)

Although I understand this movie was based off of "true events" so there was not a lot of room for dramatics, I feel this movie moved kind of slow and jumped all over the place. The story behind this movie was a great story line, but I feel the writers could have done a better job of telling it. There were feel good moments and tear jerking moments in the movie, but my overall feeling of this movie was not "The Notebook" calibur. Recommend to a friend, sure, but go out of their way to see it, wait for the DVD. My opinion.

Great acting, just didn't like the plot-- it was very "jumpy" and skipped around too much. I would definitely recommend it, but maybe wait until it comes out on dvd/rental.

Both Rachel McAbams and Channing Tatum are very talented actors. I think that everyone who has seen this movie can agree that they both did an amazing job. The beginning of the movie was extremely cute and I could not stop smiling the first ten minutes. It was the rest that disappointed me a bit. I expected more of a Nicolas Sparks type of story line. I was hoping Leo (Channing) would fight a bit more the help Paige (Rachel) regain her memory. Instead he let her figure things out the hard way which is understandable. However, I did not like the ending at all but I have to remember it was based on a true story therefore, I shouldn't have expected it to be an ending like the Notebook. It was a cute movie but it isn't something I would watch twice. Then again I'm not a hopeless romantic. I think people made too much of a big deal about this movie that I expected more than for it. I don't think it was horrible but it wasn't great, it was O.K.

Well I chose to see this one because I'm a Christian, and the true story focused on how God works in both of their lives. But this one in the theatre absolutely has nothing to do with that so I was very disappointed. Rachel McAdams is a really good actress while Channing Tatum is fine.

Imagine if you will, you are happily married, then suddenly that happiness is snatched away. This is the backdrop for "The Vow".
Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams play "Leo" and "Paige" a happily married Chicago couple. They are returning home from a movie when suddenly their car is hit from behind by a snow removal truck. The accident leaves "Paige" with a severe head trauma and in a coma. When she wakes up, she doesn't remember anything, not even that she's married. The story unfolds from there...
"The Vow" is an emotional movie that will tug at your heart strings. The movie moves along nicely but is an extreme disappointment at the end. The trailers lead you to believe one thing, but the movie shows you something else. I feel the ending was a bit rushed and there is no closure.
Guys may view "The Vow" as a "Chick Flick" but there is something in this movie for both sexes. The movie contains some interesting views of Chicago, IL.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie, it was the perfect choice for our Valentine's night out. It touched us in a very special way, it's a sweet love story played by two awesome actors. No one ever thinks of unexpected tragedies and how will one react to them. It's a wake up call to cherish and value every special moment with a loved one. We wanted to see more though at the end to see how the relationship developed once they got back together again.

I loved this movie a lot. I went and saw it on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, of course, and he also enjoyed it. There were sweet moments, there were difficult moments between the two, and overall fantastic acting. It was actually a ton different than what I expected going into the movie, but it exceeded my expectations and was an amazing movie. I would definitely go see it again, and I'll probably own it as soon as it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Don't get me wrong, who doesn't love a story that is fairly realistic? I'm not someone who is looking for the perfect ending to a movie with the Disney ending. With that said, there is nothing real about this movie. If it is, then the relationship/marriage portrayed on screen is a sad excuse for story telling.
My wife, an avid romance movie connoisseur even hated the movie. The story is slow to develop. The plot is sad at best.
I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone with a sense of taste.
