The movie is really very entertaining. The director has made this movie keeping all types of audience. One can see the care given finer details. script, etc. Thanks to Sujatha for the inspiring the tamil movie industry to envision this kinda movie. One of its kind among Indian movies. Great Effort and good movie. Rajinikanth rocks in Chitti v2.0 villain robot. Song locations are eye catching.

I wanted to give 3.5 stars; Could have been 4 if they cut a few songs towards the end (really slows down the pace for no good reason) and some unwanted stuff.
It is not a true Rajini movie, but he does exactly the same unbelievable stunts that he would normally perform as a human (except that he has the excuse of being a super robot!). But the Rajini that impressed me was the bad guy Robot. For those who have seen Rajini since his beginning as a villain (dating myself here), he was the good old Rajini. Ash was tolerable and Shankar did not do his usual 'one man' who fixes all the world problems.
The build up and the way the story unfolds is good. I would like to say the Indian movie has come of age technically - until I saw the end credits and not a single name was Indian. So, we just imported good technical skills. All we have become good is in spending the money!
Fun watch - if you don't want to think.

Kudos for the Indian movie industry and in particular to Tamil Film industry to make a sensible movie without usual Rajini style and Gimmicks and par in level with Hollywood . It was a deadly combination of Rajini.Shankar,Rehman and Aishwarya . The songs were very good which were shot at exotic locations,but felt disturbed when we were waiting for the next scene. The movie is definitely worth watching .

Good to see indian movie graphics graduate to world level. For those who have seen all english Sci Fi, it may appear a little rudimentary but its definitely class leading in Indi Cinema.
the Mosquito scene seemed unnecessary. that is why i decide to cut one star in my ratings. And the second for the abrupt songs. Does not make 100% sense in sci fi movies.
Overall a great movie.

Rajnikanth did very good in both characters, few songs pops-up in between, but nice music, song & dance. This is not kind of movies Shankar made before also not kind of Rajnikanth movie too. It is totally new with Sci-Fi approach, which was not done before in Tamil film industry, worth watching it.
