Fast Five is, surprisingly, one of (if not the) best movies I have seen in the past year. Well writen, with great performances from Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Plus, and very good supporting cast. The script is tight, taut, and action-packed. Highly recommended!

When I saw the previews I couldn't wait to go! Movie is too long and boring and does not get to the meat of things for awhile. Lots of bla bla bla in between. Beginning is good and end is good. BTW I loved the other Fast and Furious movies, so I am going by past experience. I also think Vin Diesel sucks. Love Paul Walker and The Rock. The IMAX experience did not make this movie any better.

This movie action packed I enjoyed from beginning to end. It was very fast paced and to the point. Loved the visual effects and comedic parts of the movie which made it even more enjoyable.

High level action from the very start. Enough romance and other subplots to keep the interest up. Several great commedic references. Oh, and 3 very hot leading ladies plus a slew of Brazilian extras that will knock your socks off. Eye candy also available for the ladies. The city of Rio itself also deserves a starring role credit. Let me start off by stating that if you have even a "Mild" interest in the "Fast & Furious" installments I would definitely see "Fast Five". This one is way better then the previous 3 installments. When the previous installment "Fast & Furious (2009)" ended, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) was sentenced to 25 year to life in prison. His "Posse" could not allow that to be played out, so they caused the prison bus to have an accident. In this installment Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) have been on the run to elude the authorities because they are wanted for questioning regarding Dominic Toretto's escape from custody. They end up in Rio de Janeiro, they need to pull one more job so they can secure their freedom permanently. Once Mia and Brian are reunited with Dominic they together assemble a team to pull off a heist from the evil corrupt businessman who is trying to kill them and to add to their worries a DEA Agent (Dwayne Johnson) is after them. The story unfolds from there... "Fast Five" contains "Mind Blowing Action", "Unbelievable Car Chases", "Crazy Cool Stunts". We are talking "High Octane" at it's finest. It's mindless entertainment, but oh so good!!

if you like the fast and furious movies then this one i would say tops them all. There was comedy, action, mystery, and just plain o shock, that will make u say whattttttttt. and u cant wait till the next one. i dont go see to many movies opening day but this one is a must and i will pay to see again. amazing cant wait till the next one. also this is the fist review i have ever taken the time to write.. so that tells u something!!!!!!

Fast 5 is the kind of movie that appeals to teenage guys, and guys in their 20's and 30's that still act like teenagers.
On the whole it is stupid, horribly acted and not very realistic.
Vin Diesel is horribly distracting in this movie...its not just the really bad acting but he looks like he is getting a fat man face. The double chin just seems really weird and I am sure many of his female fans will be confused.
Paul Walker has obviously taken acting lessons being the only person from the original FF movie to have any serious work since that time it would be an absolute requirement.
Dwayne Johnson is far enough out from his wrestling days that he can now be taken seriously as an actor and is actually pretty good in this movie and is believable in his role as Agent Hobbs.
The movie starts out stupid and then has all sorts of other stupidity through out making it just another typical action movie.
The implausible bus crash. Henchmen who can't put a single round on target...especially one with a torso as big as Vin's The flash charging sound indicating that the FBI agent turned on the laser on his weapon. And my favorite stupid action movie sound effect...the sound of every weapon being cycled as it is being pulled out. The ex-mossad agent holding the gun sideways gangsta style... These are just a few.
Adding in Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson and some other people from previous movies did not help the plot at all.
Could somebody tell me how the new gen chargers they stole turned into previous gen chargers when they painted them flat black?
Also which SRT package do you have to order to be able to pull a 5 ton safe at nearly 80 MPH
I will say that the movie did look and sound pretty spectacular at the Imax.
Sound design was amazing. They did a great job capturing the sound of the cars and most of the weapons make the correct sound when they go bang.
The stupid bus crash shook the floor of the theater when it hit the ground.
So I did enjoy that.
The actors just left alot to be desired.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
