I am a fan of Queen Latifa and Dolly so really was interested in seeing this movie. I am of the Dolly and Kris era, so their scenes were touching to me, but the mix of generations and story lines was great. It made me feel a part of the circle. The music was fun and uplifting and didn't step on anyone's beliefs. I loved the fact that age, ethnicity, religion, and handicaps were not an issue but rather an asset. Good job Q & D!

This movie is all over the place. The story line is weak and they jump around alot on different story lines. We left 2/3 way through, it just didn't seem worth sitting through. Cheezie lines and seemed low budget.

Loved the movie! Would recommend to everyone! Cute story line, but most of all, it left me & my girls feeling great, inspired and well, don't want to sound corny......JOYFUL.. What a fabulous change of direction from the rest of the violent, outrageous movies out there! However, I must be honest, it did take me a while to adjust to Dolly's "new face".

This movie I thought was really great as well as very well done my friend and I both enjoyed it very much it had some great music in it as well as some great acting and some funny moments. Queen Latifah as well as Dolly Parton both did a great job in the movie with their singing and their acting they both also did a great job with their arguing and bickering and everybody else did a wonderful job with the storyline. The music was also very well done and the movie also really got the message across about taking the Lord higher in song and giving him the praise that he truly deserves. So thank you so much for putting this movie out with a great message about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God bless you all.

Enjoyed this movie with my husband and in laws. Thought it started out slow but had a nice story line with lots of funny one liners. Would have loved some more upbeat music and more songs done by Queen Latifa and Dolly. My mother in law is definitely buying the movie once it is released. My husband thought there would be more old time music in it....I thought there was plenty of that - just not enough upbeat ones. The audience laughed throughout the movie and applauded at the end. Personally, I think its a good movie to see but not required to spend money at the theater for as you will enjoy it just as much in the comfort of your home. Hope you enjoy!

This movie was so awesome. I loved all of the singing and also the way it was presented. It seemed so real and possible....not fake and overly perfect. Movie I would feel safe in taking my kids to and that to me is a big deal.

This movie is almost 2 hours long and I couldn't believe it was over. Perfect mix of great music and a very funny story line. The entire theater was roaring in laughter and everyone applauded at the end.

I was very disappointed in the movie. It is not for children. It is full of the s word and other profanities and other off color material. My husband and I walked out. I expected a clean, family movie which it is far from it.

The best thing about "Joyful Noise" is Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton and Keke Palmer. They have good on-screen chemistry. The music is really good and the songs were performed really well. "Joyful Noise" is a feel-good movie, but lacks the comedy that the previews promised. A small rural town in Georgia called "Pacashau" falls on hard times. Businesses have gone under, store fronts are closed and "For Sale" signs are rampant. There is one bright spot in "Pacashau", it's their Divinity Church Choir. This choir enters a national competition each year to only make it as far as the regionals. The Choir can really sing, but needs to do something different to beat their competition this year. The story unfolds from there... The musical part of the movie is definitely entertaining. But parts of the plot are weak, the jokes are dry and not all of the cast members have good on-screen chemistry that is needed in a movie like this.
