The movie was well done. The smurfs were cute and I wish I was able to hold one too! I liked that there was not only things in the movie for the kids to enjoy, but good clean humor for the adults as well. I recommend the movie for young or old! I grew up watching the Smurfs and seeing the smurf village at the beginning of the movie and all the different smurfs definitely made it look so realistic and how I always seem to imagine it - they definitely brought that magic to the big screen and did a wonderful job! Watching it with my 6 year old made me feel like a kid all over again! I would definitely recommend it :-)

The movie was great! But I would never recommend using movietickets.com. It's a total rip off! I used them because I thought I could print my tickets and avoid waiting in lines just as I've done before, but after I made my purchase, I was informed that I had to pick up my tickets at the ticket booth window at the theater!! About the kindest thing I can say is that it wasn't as bad as I assumed that it would be from the previews.
As always, Hank Azaria did a wonderful job. However, the story was non-appealing; and, well, Smurfs are just smarmy.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
